Fingercots 6 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 honestly, i think rolston is the best, most consistent, player on the wild. gaborik is a truly gifted and scary talented player but he is constantly getting injured, he never reaches the point totals he should. rolston plays in all situations (even strength, PP, PK) and he consistently produces. if kenny can get him on the wings, i would be ecstatic. trade sammy, hudler and a pick for this guy, i think we would still be getting the better end of that deal. Anything to get a guy like Rolston in the winged wheel. Granted, I would much rather wait for next offseason, that way we dont have to give up anything. But if Holland wants Rolston THIS season, and went for the trade now, I would be fine with giving up Flipper, or Huds, and a draft pick. Rolston is just that damn good. I know age isn't everything, but when you look @ the potential Filppula has - I'm wary of moving him for a guy like Rolston...Now if it were an even trade of Hudler for Rolston - then I'd have no problem If it's goal production you're worried about, Filppula would be the better to trade...he may never hit 30; Hudler will clear 30 several times in his career. You arent following the script. The original trade response was Hudler,Meech and a 3rd in which I wouldn't do. I would trade Sammy, a third and Meech. You can respond whichever way you choose. Vancouver, Colorado and Calgary are all better. As are SJ, Detroit and Anaheim. Nashville could make it too, I dont think Minnesota has a good chance, espicially when Gaborik goes down. Fippula would be pretty happy to end up as sucessful as Rolston. EDIT: I hadn't realized that Rolston was 34. Nevermind Who knows how many years he has left. If he was 30 I'd jump at that trade.
