Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 I don't know, I think it might have something to do with Dallas. That Stastny kid though, he has quite a wrist shot, which was only visible on his first goal, the last two were really just tap ins.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) The Stars look like the new Flyers if you ask me. They are playing so bad right now. Colorado isn't that good of a team, so something is obviously wrong with Dallas. Edited October 4, 2007 by Kp-Wings
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 I still hate them and hope they miss the playoffs by inches again. This may have more to do with Dallas tho. Statnsy is some kinda hockey player though.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Colorado isn't that good of a team, so something is obviously wrong with Dallas. I have do disagree with you on that. They were the hottest team to close out the regular season last year, and ended up only one game out of the playoffs, which was in oddity in itself when you have 95 points but fail to make the playoffs. They have a lot of young talent thats just coming into their own. The only thing that they don't have going for them is goal tending.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Dallas is going to be OK. They do seem to have very little confidence in Turco, unfortunately, and it hurts them, IMO. The Stars are the come-back team of the universe, giving fans heart attacks nightly by letting games like this get away, and then coming back in the last 10 minutes and either winning (more often than not) or almost winning. Dallas scared the pants off of Colorado tonight in the dying moments of the third, but Budaj saved their bacon for them in the last 2-3 minutes of play. Fun game to watch. Too bad the Turnips won. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 would of been awsome if it went into OT... close but no cigar I was hoping for that myself, DG! The last five minutes of the game were a hoot, huh?
betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 I can barely watch a game between Colorado and Dallas. Still want to barf and throw things when the Avs do anything good. And now they've got those stupid apron strings on their unis.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Avs looked great last night. Turco looked fantastic too, but the Avs were just peppering him right and left.
Rob the Badger 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 It's only one game, and the first game in their cases, of the season. You're not going to learn too much about a team until they have 10-20 games behind them.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 The divealanche will be better this year. How far they go depends on how well Budaj will play for them.
GoCryWolfe 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2007 Their defense this year is pretty good, along with the snipers they have up front in Statsny ,Svatos, Hejduk, Sakic, et al. As a previous poster said, I have to agree that Budaj will be the final piece. If he plays well, they're in the playoffs. Hell, id like to even see Theodore bounce back this season, he was a good goalie. Don't get me wrong, I despise the Avs, but their team should be a playoff team this year, and hopefully we meet. Theodore? Isn't he too busy clubbing with Paris Hilton?
