Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) I cannot believe what I just saw. Andrew Raycroft played amazing tonight, robbed the sabres all night long. Brian McCabe and Pavel Kubina have got to be the most stupid defenceman in the league, they cost the Leafs tonight, I feel terrible for Leafs fans, having these bums on there team. Im pissed, because Raycroft played so well, and then McCabe scores on his own team JFJ is a terrible GM, he NEEDS to get rid of these bums. Also, Carlo Coliacovo really needs to get back, if not, this will be another playoffless year for the leafs. Especially with that "no movement clause". Leaf goalies have given up quite a few goals this season, but it's almost imposssible to blame them for it. McCabe would be great on a team where he could be the #4 defenceman. He'll never be that in Toronto. McCabe for Eric Cole and Gleason/Wallin would be great for Toronto. I don't think Jimmy Rutherford is dense enough to fall for that one.....and I don't think Fergie is swift enough to ever mastermind robbery like that. Of course, McCabe has control over where he goes, so ultimately, it comes down to him accepting a deal to Carolina. I was watching the game live and at the end of the 3rd period he kind of cleared the puck like he almost was takin a shot at Raycroft and i was thinkin "how awesome would it be if he just scored the GWG on his own net"..... and then BAM! with no time left on the clock in OT he gets the job done... He never actually said it, but everybody knew that his wife wanted to go back there to be closer to her family when they started one of their own. As for Kubina, he's been pretty bad, no question. The problem for him is partially his defence partner. It was Andy Wozniewski and it just doesn't work. Both are far too slow to cover up any mistakes. Carlo Colaiacovo could be back by Saturday and I don't think it'll be long before Anton Stralman is brought in. I think you can fully expect the Alfredsson cheer every time McCabe touches the puck on Thursday. I don't think Fergie has the stones to trade him, but he isn't going to have a job much longer if this keeps up, which is fine by me.
