NHL's 10 dirtiest hits

IMO ESPN stricks again and not knowing a thing about Hockey... to who ever wrote that, who the H are they to say what the players should have gotten as a suspention for. I am sorry i am not condeming the hits but the lowest supsension that i think i saw was 40 games. Are you kidding me? Thats a little harsh. There is a reason why players wear that funny looking hat... most people like to call them helments. That is half a season... Hockey is not like basketball or Baseball, which ESPN seems to be so fond of, it does not have 100 + games.

You all might disagree with me, but come on!

Other than the whole I am god... i have a right to choose what they sould have gotten, good read... Always love hard hitting hockey

Cool list...although I have my own feelings about Simon's stick swinging on Hollweg...I dont think that deserves to be in the top ten. There wasnt much damage there other then a bloody lip.

I think it belongs up there. It shouldn't be about whether or not Hollweg got seriously hurt. That incident was dowright uncalled for and scary.

I think this one deserves a top 10 spot.

Agreed. I've never respected Matt Johnson because of that play. Also, maybe it's just me, but I don't ever remember hearing about that Rocket Richard incident. I've heard that he had a violent temper, but never heard anything of this magnitude. I guess in his case, there's other things to remember him for which stand out over that moment.

I'm glad the Bobby Clark one is #4. I agree Clark should have been suspended for the remaining games of the series. It's to bad Team Canada had to win the series by taking out Russia's best player. It would have been better if Canada could have won it man-to-man, face-to-face, fair and square. Funny looking back on the series, no one really talks about that hit, and when I hear about it, Clark is treated like a hero, just like the article says.

I'm Canadian and I feel this way.
