Vincanni 1 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Geez what the heck is wrong with Madano? I know he's getting older and historically a lot of players have struggled to make it over such record breaking humps, but this is starting to get ridiculous.
Doggy 130 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Yeah the Ducks certainly were brutal. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Caps were worse though. It's like they were aiming for the logo on Ward's chest. What's up with all these shutouts? It seems like scoring AND shutouts are on the rise. How does that work? auxlepli 17 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Good. I'm glad the Ducks lost another one. I'm still bitter about last year's playoffs.
Hank 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Giggy was his usual dependable self - always in position but no ability to take a goal away when the shot's not on target to hit his pads.
NC WINGS FAN 5 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 It sure would be nice if Giggy decided to experiment with smaller pads for an entire season It would be interesting to see what would happen to his save percentage and his team for that matter.
Opie 308 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Wicked Cup hangover + losing 2 of 3 best players + questionable offseason acquisitions = not a good year in Anaheim...think Hurricanes of last year. I would wager to say they lost their 3 best players, yes Neids could come back but Selanne and Penner took over 2/3 of their offense with them. And even when/if neids comes back he is going to need some time to acclimate to the game again. They could be in for a world of hurt, or the youngsters really need to step it up for them. chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Good. I'm glad the Ducks lost another one. I'm still bitter about last year's playoffs. Me too. They wern't that great last year either . The hockey gods were good to them, getting Minny in the first round and a Canuck team in the second round that couldn't score. When we had to travel to Calgary then San Jose. And lost two of our top denfsemen. Then they get that lucky bounce in game 5 in the dying seconds on a very questionable call against us. After we blew them out at home in game 3 by 4 goals. I hate them more than the Avs. Especially that punk Pronger.
Hank 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 It sure would be nice if Giggy decided to experiment with smaller pads for an entire season It would be interesting to see what would happen to his save percentage and his team for that matter. Hahaha! Are you kidding me???? His numbers would be more inflated than his current chest protector. He would be a backup's backup in the ECHL. I'm not even sure he'd get a gig playing in the Australian Mens league. I don't care if people think it's pure biterness or not, I will never, ever respect J.S. Giguere! He has ZERO TALENT and until he can prove that he can win with normal sized pads, I won't give him one ounce of respect. He's utter garbage and he's one of the main reasons that the state of the game is the way it is. I will personally hold him to blame if larger nets are ever introduced. Giggy you suck! Flip-check 6 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 lol i think theyre missin more than their logo =D ie selanne and nied What I would give my left hand for is after their season keeps downgrading the Ducks were missing Selanne -- a Selanne in red. I doubt it'd happen even if Anaheim keeps this up though. He'd sooner retire... though t'd be so swede and utterly finn!

I know he's getting older and historically a lot of players have struggled to make it over such record breaking humps, but this is starting to get ridiculous. He wants to do it against Detroit, and there's not a Dallas/Detroit game for a while...so he has to tank it.
Zion 93 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 I hate the Ducks (being from Southern California), and it is good to see them lose. That said, Scott Neidermayer HAS to be on that team for them to have a decent year. Selanne is done and Penner was robbed from them. HUGE losses.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 If I was Chris Pronger, I'd be downright pissed at Scott Niedermayer. I dont care how the hell good you are, if Nick Lidstrom pulled this stuff, Kenny Holland would do something about it. Brian Burke proved he isnt this big tough guy, he cant even get an answer out of his "captain". As for Selanne, he wont come to Detroit. But I sure as heck he doesnt go back to Anaheim. Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 I definitely didnt see this struggle coming...i thought they'd be able to avoid the hangover. The talent is obviously still there,...and i think Neidermayer will come back eventually, which will still give them a good shot at the playoffs, even if it were only an 8 seed it doesnt matter. My feeling is there trying to hold off Neidermayer returning for as long as possible for cap reasons (mutual between Scott and Burke), with the optimal return being the midpoint in the season. But if that was indeed the plan, it may have to be sped up!!!
