Forsberg Done

Thank you!

I like the guy and I think he's one of the best, but for the last 4 years my senses have been attacked by Forsberg overload:

"I'm not sure where I will sign"

"I might come back, I don't know when"

"I have a list of teams I might play for. I'll let you know"

"I could retire or I could play again. We'll see"

Enough already. Just retire!

Same goes for Niedermayer.

He should be banned for unsportsmanlike conduct..

i dunno if this is the end of Forsberg,

but if it is, under these circumstances,

i kind of feel bad for him.

talking about himself

"I'm not planning on skating around and embarrassing myself like I have for many years"

mehh as much as i couldnt stand colorado like anybody else.

i didnt like Forsberg the same way i think people don't like Zetterberg right now.

it was because of how good and clutch he was,

and i just feel like he stil has some worth left in the tank at 34, but really its not his age, its his foot.

This news doesn't sound decisive enough for me. Can we get a confirmation that this scoundrel will never plague the hockey world again?

Finally, now we can stop talking about Foresburg!

All that article tells us is that he pulled out of the tourney because his foot still isn't right.

Until Forsberg himself issues a statement in which he says he is retiring, then we won't know for sure if he is retiring. Even then it's still not concrete. Remember, this is Forsberg we are talking about.

As much as I have hated the guy from his Avalanche days, I can't say I am with the "HAHAH GOOD" crowd on this one.

I feel kind of bad for him too - it would suck to have to retire prematurely because of injuries. He was a really good hockey player. I wouldn't have wanted him on the Wings this year, but he would have made any team better. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Forsberg was a clutch player with great skills, but his attitude regarding his injuries, and this goes way back not just now, has been that of whiny little ***** IMO. Buccigross IIRC compared him to Larry Bird. When Bird had those back injuries, I don't remember him acting like Forsberg. Forsberg seems to me like a self-absorbed prima donna. He maybe not be as bad as athletes in other sports, but I'll look for my hockey heroes elsewhere.

You kidding? He kept trying to come back and I truly admire his potential. A lot of people would have given up long ago but Peter didn't because he really loves Hockey and he really wanted to come back.
