I never worried that he'd get going eventually, but I'm none the less happy for him. Even though Osgood's piling up great stats across the board, the one that I think is really most stunning is his record...12-1-1...wow...what is it now since he returned to the Wings? 43-10-12? That's really just unbelievable considering a good number of his losses came while shaking the rust off. He simply doesn't get enough credit for what he's brought to the team even these days. Overall a solid game. Should've/could've been about 8-1 but what can you do? Nice to see other guys contributing too. I never worried that he'd get going eventually, but I'm none the less happy for him. He's playing incredible right now, much more aggressive about scoring. The thing with Datsyuk is, after the Calgary game he said, to everyone's surprise, that he actually didn't have much energy, even though he scored those two beauties. Said something about how he couldn't dance with the puck as much. I think there might be something to that. Sometimes he might be a little too fancy. The fact is that when he just goes straight to the net, he's a huge problem for the defenders. Datsyuk has had a lot to do with Zetterberg's hot start this year. There's a ton of hard work he's doing with the puck, in the corners and along the boards, to get Z those shots. He's just an amazing player with an almost unique skill set. Hank's shot after a beautiful tick-tack-toe pass. Cheli's left handed shot with out enough power behind it. Hank's empty net goal post(you have to try to miss the net!) Fil's empty net goal. I was yelling at him to shoot it but he didn't listen to me and took his sweet time So we should have won 9-2. Good game though. No contest! I thought Lils and Haetigan played really well.
