handyandy_101 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2007 I've actually been wondering about this ever since his announcement on the 2014 Olympics. I assume that he can get fired somehow, but does anyone know who has the authority to do that? Would it be an issue of the owners voting or something like that. Other than that, I guess it just comes down to him resigning. I was wondering this because he is making claims of what is going to happen in like 6+ years. Maybe I'm somewhat blinded by the fact that I think it is a terrible idea not the let the players go, but to me the thought of him making decisions for what is going to happen in 2014 is a little depressing. Mostly he's a puppet, and the guy that takes the blame if fans don't like what's going on. Probably the reason why the NHL Players aren't going to the Olympics, is the owners don't want them there. Bettman was the guy that told us. Assination... but still in death he would find a way to eff us over... so no dice! He loses his job when he damn well wants to. The Owners will find a guy who's exactly like Bettman, because that's what they want.
