Looking forward to watching this game against the Habitantes!

Kind of wish it was a Saturday night game instead so the real Montreal rowdies would be at the arena.

5-3 Wings with the last goal being an empty-netter.

Wings win it 4-3 (Homer, Cheli, Huds, Flip)

GO WINGS!!! Win it for me on my birthday!

Maltby still unavailable for Wings-Habs game

Posted by George James Malik December 04, 2007 13:27PM

Kirk Maltby won't play for the Detroit Red Wings tonight:

December 4, Detroit Free Press: Update from the Bell Centre, where tonight the Red Wings play the Canadiens: Kirk Maltby wasn't on the ice for the morning skate, and won't be available tonight.

Maltby has missed the past two games because of what he describes as a sore back. He was able to skate Monday, but Mike Babcock said Maltby felt sore when he woke up this morning.

It also looks as if the lines might be switched up, at least at the start of the game, with Henrik Zetterberg playing with Johan Franzen and Mikael Samuelsson and Pavel Datsyuk centering Valtteri Filppula and Tomas Holmstrom.

Dan Cleary is with Jiri Hudler and Dallas Drake, and Matt Ellis with Tomas Kopecky and Aaron Downey

I think it's a safe bet to assume that Babcock will go back to the "Flying Circus" well of Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Holmstrom by the mid-way point of the game...

wow...

lines are weird as hell.

so the hottest player on the wings (Hudler) is on the 3rd line...

they need to swap Flip and Hudler imho

If we do win this game, it'll be close, but I can see us losing to a poor performance by dom

Celebrated rivalry: The Canadiens will salute their 81-year rivalry with the Red Wings during a pregame ceremony tonight. Players scheduled to be honored at center ice include former Red Wings Gordie Howe, Ted Lindsay, Alex Delvecchio, Marcel Pronovost and Marcel Dionne and former Canadiens Jean Beliveau, Guy Lafleur, Jean-Guy Talbot, Dickie Moore and Claude Lemieux.

Happy B-day man!

I'm just excited to see how Dom plays. If we stay out of the box,we win.

Gotta love the original 6 match-up.
