edicius 3,269 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 God the league wants Sidney Crosby to "save" hockey. I'd rather see Alex Ovechkin "save" hockey on his Segway.
Pskov Wings Fan 71 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 God the league wants Sidney Crosby to "save" hockey. I guess they want to make at least one of hockey player household name in US. Crosby is not the worst choice. Z and Dats would be better of course.

Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 (edited) I shouted an exasperated "WHAT!" when I saw that. What are they doing on the ice that's taking so long there? Maybe a chunk chipped off or something. Edited January 1, 2008 by Z and D for the C
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 (edited) I really hope the league doesn't look at the weather and the ice problems right now as reason to not do this every year. I think this should become a year staple in the NHL. Edited January 1, 2008 by Never Forget Mac #
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 Ah, play back underway. What a save by Miller!
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 (edited) These ice problems might be too much to overcome for the NHL to continue hosting outdoor games. Edited January 1, 2008 by auxlepli
Chase 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 Wow...that guy in the stands with the sign that reads "The real hockeytown usa" and has buffalo pictures on it is an idiot....DETROIT IS HOCKEYTOWN Yeah I saw that. I dare the NHL to bring a Wings vs. Habs/Leafs game here to the big house and see how nuts the place goes.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 there is a lot of pride in Buffalo regarding hockey, and rightly so. It may not be hockeytown, but it is a hockey town. They love the game and their team, just like we do. This game is great for Buffalo NY, and for the Sabres... fun to watch, but I sure am glad I am not there. Listen to that crowd! I hope a few non-hockey fans see this and realize what a great game hockey is.
