I liked that Bud Lite commercial. Hockey! Everyone get's out of the car and picks it up and go's around the people playing street hockey.

did they get two shots in the second or not? come on...

i want to see a shootout. i dont care what anyone says. its exciting. plus i wanna see as much hockey as humanly possible in this setting.

go pens!

NHL.com says 2 SOG for the Pens in the 2nd. They're already gotten that many in the 3rd. Sabres outshooting them 23-15.

does anyone know how much tix for this game were (ballpark)?

at the same time i would kill to be there because this doesn't happen often and its hockey at its best, it looks like you wouldn't be able to see much of anything from the seats. they're a good 60-70 feet or so from the ice. not saying it wouldn't be worth the money but i wonder how the view compares to a normal game.

How many times are they going to show that puck control move by Crosby? He didn't even keep control of the puck, a Buffalo player stole it from him as soon as hit landed on the ice...

I totally understand the league's need to pump Sidney, but this is even getting annoying for me. If I had a nickle for every time they said his name today I'd be a millionaire, and I'm not even referring to gameplay.

It's a good thing we didn't turn it into a drinking game. I'd have been dead from alcohol poisoning midway through the 1st.

Oops, NBC broke the feed. Good job, guys!

He's a hockey player: Handsome (read: marketable), talented, down-to-earth, good leader. Imagine a Canadian Henrik Zetterberg.

Hmm interesting. I'll have to read more into this.

Miracle was a Disney movie. Disney owns ABC and ESPN so it would've surprised me had NBC picked that movie to highlight. When Miracle came out, it was the only time I really saw ESPN get behind hockey. ESPN helped market Miracle to no end.

I knew it was something like that. I knew it was a Disney movie, but I just wasn't sure if they owned ABC or FOX.

on a side note, by a hobby photographer :)

http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Search.a...ventId=76074528

in rush hour they have like 10 minutes lag between the actual occurence

and photo of it published and accessible for news agencies all over the

world. this is: from taking a photograph to its publication on the web

including detailed description (with particular players' names!). and we're

talking of files having easily 20 MB each :)

wow! simply wow! I'm not going to compare this to the ancient film days

but even for digital age this is fast. and it's no wonder Getty has the edge

in sports photo sales ;)

and yes, of course it says: Sidney Crosby all the way

Dear NBC,

Can you please do an in-depth player profile on Sidney Crosby? I don't know what size shoes he wears or what he prefers to do on a first date.

Regards,

NFM#25

Seriously though, its fine to pump Sidney but not at the total expense of the other 39 players out there.

with this snow covering ice surface it's going to be more of a "snow wiping" contest

than actual shootout. Sid Crosby may even miss his goal in such condition and with

all the marketing behind this game and his name, that's not the best way to end :)

BTW: and they showed the puck carying move from 1st period once again :puke:
