Score would of been a lot worse if not for your boy. Props to him at least.

aw, thanks, HC! I wish they could have won it, but you can't play 10 minutes against a team like the Sens.

I am just sorry Dom collected yet another "L" -- people don't seem to remember when they fling the goalies' W-L-O figures out there as evidence one way or the other, that the team was also involved.

Samuelsson should be shot!

If he actually covers his man instead of just watching Spezza blow by him Lidstrom isn't in a position where he has to take a penalty!

f*** OFF SAMUELSSON!

Most of the team did not show up. No need to blame one player….no excuses.

82 games in a season… This is not football, you cant win them all.. On to the next game. Chillax. I have a feeling we’ll be alright. Put down the knife.

Exactly. We're not going to win EVERY game! It'll be ok kids! :)

I never said it was all Samuelsson's fault. I was merely pointing out that the last PP was a direct result of him not backchecking. What's so frustrating about it is the fact that this guy keeps getting pats on the back from Babcock as being a good two-way forward.

Wings got completely outplayed in the first 2. They did not look like themselves at all. IMO 5 players showed up tonight for the most part, Cleary, Cheli, Lids, Drake, and Hasek. Besides them no one did anything till the third period. Nice little comeback though. At least it didn't stay 2-0 ya know?

We shall win the next one.

OH and we need major work on the PP.

This game serves as a wake up call. We were unmotivated or outmatched. They were hungrier than us,and our 'floaters" were very evident tonight.

This team has too many loyalty contracts. Why is Maltby still playing, and what does he bring to the table? How is he an upgrade over the guys sitting out? I won't start on Samuelson, and Franzen needs to be much more physical,as we lost nearly every board batttle tonight.

This team looks built for another President's cup,but I don't see getting past the Ducks again.

We need to lose the deadwood (Maltby,Samuelson, and Drake) for younger and motivated players.

I don't blame them for not being ready, but do wonder what goes on in their heads. The Wings knew this one was big, hyped, important, call it whatever you want. And they looked terrible aside from Nick, Dom and flashes of a couple of other guys.

Guess we will write the last two games off to the Z flu, or something.

Well your comment looked like it . You could call out a lot of players tonight, but hockey is a team sport, the whole team lost the game not one player.

...maybe we are outclassed. I know their #1 line loks a whole lot better than ours tonight. Holland better start calling Columbus and asking what its gonna take to get Fedorov...

The Wings made their own bed tonight, they had plenty of chances to win, the Lilja situation is going to have to be addressed; but the Wings need a forward who will play with an edge, not another ex player who is at the end of his career. As for what it would take to get Sergei back, it would be much more than he's worth at this point.

Fun Game, I knew it was going to be tough. But man Alfredsson is a total beast. seriously wow his shot is wicked.

I liked how our team played as a whole.. Ottawa is solid. The way the played defensivly was well above or offensive output..

Player whise

-Sammy played horrible

-Maltby is great

-KOPECKY PLAYED AWESOME.

You want a positive from this game, even when we play like absolute and total s***, we can still score 2 goals against the best team in the East.

I thought that Drake played fantastic tonight, easily his best game. He was running guys all over the ice.

they need some more grit...seemed to me as if the Sens were outhitting them by a wide margin tonight...I hate losing, but they aren't going to win every single one...they'll be fine down the stretch

Man, CBC were talking about Blake to the Wings all night. I hope Kenny was watching! After tonights game, I'm certain of the fact the defence isnt good enough. Kronwall made huge mistakes all night, Lilja was Lilja, and Chelios made a couple bad plays. I hope we burry Atlanta early on Tuesday.

Also, going into the game I was fearing the worst with Dom in net against Ottawa, but he was great tonight. Like so great, the Alfie goal, while week was screened by 5 guys and Lilja was on the ice, not a good equation! But that save on Fisher, my god, that was HUGE!

Nope. Drapes was pre-occupied with his parents/family all day, plus Kronner was watching out for him the entire day. I heard Drapes might get him later on tonight.
