BTW, the Generals store had some really nice 8 X 10, autographed McCarty pictures (I believe they were taken during last Friday's home game).

When it comes to Pool and the net coming off...the first time he didn't directly knock it off but he shoved the Generals player so hard against it (holding him) that the Flint player knocked it off. The second time was blatantly Pool's intent. I sit right behind that goal.

I don't know if any of you Wings fans who were there last night was this guy, but there was a guy sitting down near some friends of mine in Section 18 with a McCarty jersey on, and he was just about beside himself with joy all night to be able to see McCarty play again.:hehe:

You might be talking about my friend... Was there also a little girl with him. 5 years old? That would be crazy, we definitly sat behind Poop... I mean pool as well.

:lol:The teeth and the nose...don't they just say it all?

Icemunkee...I was only in that section for the second period...can't remember about the little girl.

They do...actually on a side note I think he looks a lot healthier now than he has in a long time.

Glad your picture could capture the clarity that our plexiglass allows. <_< I swear this is the original glass from ages ago when the old fence-like screen came down when I was a kid. Back in those "Slapshot" days. :P

Nice thread. And illustrates perfectly why D-Mac is so beloved.

And check out that face! The teeth, the nose, the eyebrows........ouch! He's making a play for the "ugliest NHLer" thread :D

I agree 100% he is truly a stand up guy and one of my favorite Wings of all time!

Did he say anything in regard to that when u mentioned it? jw

Really that is what made the moment so special. When I said I cannot wait to see you in the red and white, he said, "Thank you." BUT it was not what he said that made it so important. I swear thinking it may have been the first time he heard it, but in his look was passion, was appreciation, was gratitude. I cannot explain it any other way but that what I said, what anyone of us here would have said made an impact. It really was deep. My words do not express what I want them too, at all.

Unfortunately no points for Mac in yesterday's loss to Fort Wayne. I bet he racks some up this weekend, though.

I actually just read the sad story of the game on www.flintgenerals.com. Bummer, I was hoping to read he banged at least one in. I actually am going to listen to the game tomorrow night.

GO MAC!!!
