Lidstrom will go down in history as the best player never to win a Hart Trophy. There, I've said it. The Hart normally goes to a player who elevates an average or above average team to Cup contender. The wings have been an elite team, Stanley Cup favourites for all bar his first couple of years. Of course he has been a key facet of that, but his genius is taken for granted around the league.
