HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 That is AMAZING. Awesome stuff. Feds is a great guy. Each time i've met him he's was SO nice and pleasant to talk to. I remember the last time I met him in September he was SWARMED by Wings fans everywhere. They would not leave him alone trying to get a pic/sig. The man had no air to breathe I tell ya. They were all over him. Wings fans love Sergei, and always will.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 I'm not so sure that if he did come back to the Wings at the deadline that the fans would welcome him with open arms. The booing could be from jealousy in many cases and seeing him in that number 91 jersey could reverse that kind of feedback IMO Are you kidding? the sheep would be creaming over him once he is in the Red and White You are confusing the BOOOOOOO with BAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhh's is all. Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 And, officially, I would welcome him back with open arms and a happy tear. Fedorov >>> Sammy on the point and in general for that matter. Samuelsson for Fedorov straight up? Hey, I'd take it. I'm one of the biggest non-Fedorov supporters on this team, but when it comes down to it, I still like Fedorov for what he brought to the Wings in the past. For as much as I disagree with what Fedorov did, he's still a nice guy, and I've met him personally before. Plus, he's still a better player than Samuelsson, if anything. I just hope that if the Wings do get him, they don't stop there and say "yeah, that's our big deadline deal" because that would irritate the hell out of me. The Wings need defense more than anything, especially because Kronwall's return date keeps getting pushed later and later back. The original timetable had him coming back this coming week, now it's looking more and more like the end of the month. Brad Stuart, Steve Montador, McCarty, and Fedorov (for cheap, mind you) sounds like a great deadline to me. If the Wings aquired all four of these guys, I'd be quite happy. Mickeyisms Rule! 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 I hate when this subject comes up, brcause I still have a signed pic, puck, and trading card of his hanging just above and to the right of my computer desk. I guess I never bothered to take it down, justifying it as Red Wings memorabilia, but whenever this comes up I look at the plaque it is mounted on and wish for The Return. Would it be cool? Hell yeah. Will it happen? Doubtful, but a boy can dream, right?
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 Why would the Wings be interested in Fedorov? Only God knows why...
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 (edited) Cause the rest of our team can't score worth s*** in the playoffs and he still holds many records for scoring in the playoffs (i.e. when it REALLY counts) oh and... he can also play solid D puts the likes of Blake and all the schmucks people are craving in a totally lower league of their own. NomadFromKazoo 42 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 (edited) The booing could be from jealousy Uhhhh.....or how he said the Wings offer was an insult before he left for LESS money then we offered him? Maybe that could have something to do with it? Fine, he left, but don't change history and blame Wings fans to boot. Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 If anyone is concerned about Feds being booed here while on a different team, remember Rob Blake. Whenever he came back as a member of the Avs, he was booed just like Feds...but when he came back, they cheered. Same thing would happen here.

Ahh but here we go again... what pat of the offer from the wings was the insult? the money or the TIME?? he took less money yes but he took MORE TIME on his contract. Stability over $$ is what that came down to i turned down an offer to work in seattle for twice what i am making now... why? it was a 6month contract job... NO job stability in 6months i would be jobless looking for something else. I would rather make LESS than have to continually look for work! DenJ91 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Why would the Wings be interested in Fedorov? Only God knows why... Lou we get it, you don't like fedorov, your bitter. you're actually one of the few people who constantly diss fedorov like you know nothing about the wings and his past here. he's not looked on to score 30+ goals anymore. he's basically a defenseman in the center position. he plays more defense than the whole jackets team, i know i watch all their games. he would be so valuable to the wings going into and in the playoffs, open your eyes

But since you took it seriously i'll respond. We have enough defense minded forwards, I could careless if Fedorov can do that. We need someone on the 2nd line who's of a more physical nature and capable of putting the puck in the net. Our 2nd line is going to get knocked around as it stands with both Flip and Hudler on it. Its in need of muscle, which is why Ryan Malone has always been the perfect guy to get. I can only hope he's still being made available. By the way, I am not bitter whatsoever towards Fedorov. Why is it that anybody who doesnt think we should get him back is called that? Maybe its just that they look at it objectively and are able to throw out the nostalgia factor. Mine is for hockey reasons. fair enough lou, but you honestly think feds doesn't have alot to offer?? all the things mentioned that he brings to the table, you still don't think he'd help? i'm curious, plus he wouldn't cost that much to get in a trade or even if they brought him here in the offseason.
