Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 I don't know about you guys but I like flipping between these two when I get a chance during Wing's games, it really helps me appreciate how good our broadcasters are....minus Murphdogg...

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 CBC. It reminds me of the good old days when the Wings and Leafs still played each other more than one time every 10 years... thanks Gary!
Jwo 7 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 I watched the CBC feed but recorded the FSN Detroit feed.

EuroTwinLove40 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 Thats weird my charter gets CBC channel 99... odd That's cuz we're stupid and currently reside on the west side where they don't like Canadians lol. Just kidding, but really, we're still in Michigan so we should be able to have Canadian channels! I miss Canadian news and The Hour with George St-onaifdskljfdkslafjkds-popolous! Screw it...I'm just moving to Canada! haha

I'd love to be able to have TSN here in the states, because they have such great hockey coverage.
jim3033 1 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 (edited) I watch FSND when the game is playing. I enjoy Coaches Corner and Satellite Hotstove for a change. FSND has superior announcers though. NBC should hire Mickey and Daniels to do national games if you ask me. Better then those crazy mullet people they have doing them now...I don't even think those guys like hockey. The country could use the Mickeyisms! Plus he winks at me every time a broadcast starts. Makes me feel special. Mickey - "He shot the bear!" @ Boston Bruins game Edited February 10, 2008 by jim3033

Mickey - "He shot the bear!" @ Boston Bruins game Nothin against Ken and Mick, because they are great, but there's noone better than Bob Cole and Harry Neale. Plus Jim Hughson is pretty good on the late game as well. Edited February 10, 2008 by Dano33

We get CTV, Global and some French-Canadian CBC channel over the air waves if living in the Metro Detroit area.

I live up in Bay City, so I don't have any of those channels. I'm surprised you get Global. It's actually not a bad channel. Their sorta like the TBS or TNT of Canada. After the number of hours I spent playing NHL 07, it's a little scary to hear the exact same phrasing and tone of voice during a live game. "<name of goalie> the save!" with his voice rising as though it's a question is the most memorable one.

I dont know why but he throws that H in there. I dont play it that often though, so i dont get the overdose that you do i suppose.
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 I always choose CBC when the Wings are on both. Just like i always go with WGN when the Tigers play the White Sox. I like hearing the opinions on our players from the "other side", especially when you catch them saying something ridiculous...as if theyve never watched the guy play before. cirov19 1 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 CBC is slow. They don't always show the scoreboard, and sometimes it takes them awhile to show the powerplay. But they have better announcers and it's always good to watch Don Cherry on Hockey Day in Canada. I prefer FSND, though.
