I must say that when Rafi went down I would have thought that either Ericsson or Kindl would have

got the call over Quincey. After all Kyle is a stay at home guy, where as Rafi is our second offensive

D man so I would have thought that the Griffs more offensive prospect's would have got the call.

I know that Quincey did well at the end of last year and in all honesty I would have sooner had him

here from the start than Meech, but in my view I can't wait to get Ericsson in a Wings jersey and thought

that Babs would have asked for him as he seem's to be sweet on the big Swede. I still think it was a

show of what the Wings will offer the Jax in a trade, either Meech or Quincey could be dealt in any poss

deal with the Jax. Whereas both Kindl and Ericsson have been stated as off limits in trade talk.

I was kind of wondering about this too. The only thing I can think of that comes to mind is that Quincey has been in circulation longer and made a respectable showing in last year's playoffs.

The Wings are usually looking for someone who can come right in and play, because it is usually an injury that causes a call-up. That is why Hartigan has been called up at forward and Quincey at defense.

Quincey should be untouchable. This guy is so physical, he's big, hard shot. He's got heart and he's willing to wait for his shot. Keep him.

It sounds like Q and Kindl have really struggled this season. But the combination of Q playing well last year in the playoffs and any callup likely getting 3rd pairing scraps it probably made sense to see if bringing him to Detroit would get him back on track. I imagine the Wings want Ericsson playing 25+ minutes a night right now, which ain't gonna happen in Detroit.

With that being said I'd love to see Ericsson get a callup at some point. Kindl is really struggling so it might be best to continue to give him big minutes in GR to try and get his season turned around.

i don't think they want to replace him with anyone offensive. the last thing we need are rookie defenseman jumping into the play and not being able to get back in time. quincey got called up because he is the most defensively sound.

Kindl can leave anytime he wants, He's worthless IMO. After watching him tonight, I felt like a scout being able to pick out all of his dam flaws.

I know i sound like a d-bag, But its true, I would package him in a deal so quick, and just laugh at whatever team took the bust.

Quincey has done fine at GR; if he was playing bad he wouldn't have been called up, and wouldn't be on display right now for the upcoming trade line. Kid had dropped the gloves a few times at GR and handled himself ok, I will hate to see him go if he does in fact get traded. It is indeed looking like the Wings are after Brad Stuart, they had 3 scouts in St Louis for the Kings game, and they were in attendance at the Kings game last night.

I would be fine with Kindl as an Anders Eriksson...Eriksson was a top-four defenseman on a Cup-winning team with a dominant defense...AS A ROOKIE.

Playing with Lidstrom, Fetisov and Murphy... Eriksson sucked and I'd bet there wasnt one wings fan that was disappointed when we shipped him to Chicago.
