Hopefully he just got his bell rung. Laperriere had the glove and butt end up in Lid's face.

I saw that too and thought there would be a penalty but Nooooo.

Downy needs to lay down the law and his gloves.

It looked like lids just got the wind knocked out. I hope so at least

That was more than the wind out of em. He got his bell rung pretty good, he was woozy. That said, it's Nick ******* Lidstrom we're talking about here, he doesn't miss games.

And does anyone remember what happened that one time Stevens rang Kariya's bell? It's not alway a big deal.

That's not to say I wasn't beside myself with fear and anger when it happened.

I hate Downey, I honestly think he contributes nothing to our team, but if he steps up and does something about the elbow to our captain's face, then maybe...MAYBE, I will start respecting him as a Wing. When I think of toughness and grit I think of enforcers back in the day who also were able to score... Do something Downey...nothing stupid though...

Lappy is a little more in Drake's fight class than he is Downey's , but he's a gamer and would drop them with Downey if challenged. Dont disappoint Aaron...

yea, that was pretty low of the fans there. Its cool to cheer after a big hit, but when a guy needs help off the ice......to see the crowd doing a standing ovation......pathetic
