seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Stafford seems like a cool guy after that interview. I'm glad he's getting his shot tonight.
russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Ericsson has been a guy I've liked since I saw him as a Griffin his first year there I think he could be a top 5 favorite for me once he is up here for good.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Yeah Meechies... Kitty? Michi - pronounced Meechie - means kitty (as in here, kitty, kitty) in Spanish. Does that mean Meech will have to put up with cat-calls when he plays? I am just pleased that we are not going to get shut out tonight. I'll take what I can get right now with the Wings so beat up. HkyTwn 5 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Holy s***, looked like the ref nearly ripped that Canuck player's head off...rofl! I really enjoyed the "holy s***" and then looking over at your avatar and seeing nearly the same thing!

ShanahanMan 473 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) Holland staying really tight-lipped and saying what he's been saying over and over. Edited February 24, 2008 by ShanahanMan
dallas27 7 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Before anyone jumps on me, I do not mean this in any negative light whatsoever. Hasek can take his time and nurse his hip to 110% as long as Howard is in the crease.
redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Holland on CBC, says Wings aren't afraid to make a big deal but he wont over pay. He says they are trying to rebuild and he doesn't want to "empty the cupboards" for one year.

grsbmd 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 It looks like Howard and Ericsson are ready for the NHL. They've both been great. I hope people will remember how well Howard's played when the inevitable "goaltending for next season" topics come up this summer. On an unrelated note, Stafford looks just like Doug Weight... Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Very pleased to hear. Hopefully that means Flip and Hudler are safe. Uh huh, because his 0 goals in 17 games is something we definitly want to keep. If that's really the case, then don't expect a single move by Holland at the deadline. To get players, you have to give up players, and if he isn't going to give anyone up, then he's not going to get anything either.
russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Very pleased to hear. Hopefully that means Flip and Hudler are safe. Flip yes, Hudler maybe... I think the team (Babcock in particular) are much higher on Filppula than Hudler, and Babcockles looks to be here for a while, so he has a decent amount of say, not a big amount, but a decent amount. Rivalred 630 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 (edited) Hudler and Kopesky should be moved in a trade... Sorry, but they are not playing to their full potential. Anyways, the 2nd period should be starting here shortly... I will try to avoid trade talk in the game day thread. SliderJeff 11 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 I just can't friggin believe we got saddled with the mouth breathing troglodytes that ref'd last night's game again. Clearly the first period proves that they didn't make their eye appointment this afternoon... or if they did, they're still wearing Canadian team tinted contacts. That being said, nice hustle shown by the boys thus far. They are taking it to the kids on the blueline, but so far, no harm... no foul. Lilja continues to be the asshat... errr asset he has always seemed to be. He needs to beat the piss out of Cooke so that he can even out his "I suck... I rule" karmic nature. C'mon Wings... let's see some 'nucks lying on the ice instead of our boys. Of course, that will just mean suspensions for us and a "stern talking to" for the opposition. Frick. Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 Datsyuk get's credit for the Wings goal, so Meech does not score his 1st NHL goal. Too bad. I don't really like Meech, but it would have been nice for him to get his 1st.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted February 24, 2008 get another one, Michi!! Dats got credit for the first one, originally credited to Meech. I love that announcer who says "Leeel-yah" for Lilja. And Howie stones a Sedin. Yay!
