but i thought having a big beard made you a man?

awe mann...

Haha, yeah. At least he can grow a beard but those things are annoying. I don't think Hudler and Flip can grow beards! We will find out who the men are in the playoffs!!

I personally refer to LillyPad as the Swedish Uwe Krupp. Big guy that doesn't hit, doesn't skate well, doesn't shoot well, PYLON, looks like a deer caught in the headlights when he has the puck behind the net for a breakout. On the Panthers or Kings, he would easily be -25. Watch when he races to get the puck in the corner with a guy from the other team. He always turns his back to the puck and the other player comes out with it. Just because he is Swedish does not mean he's a great hockey player, much like the king of the 50 foot wrist shot, Sammy. Lets just hope that Lillypad is the odd Dman out come playoff time.

Is it irony that the thread is called “take your shots at the Pad,” and Pad saves a goal by taking a shot?

Suck on that haters.

He proved that he's a more conventional goalie than Hasek. Lilja does everything. He fights, he hits, he scores GWG, he blocks shots, he makes saves, he gets chicks. I don't understand what more you can ask from a 5th or 6th defenseman?

Yeah right. Lilja would destroy Krupp in a fight. How can you ever compare the two?

Two things:

1) Stop passing the puck to the other team in our zone.

2) Stop deflecting pucks into our own net.

He does both of these things way more often than he should. Pretty much every game, in fact.

I mean, if you're gonna criticize Lilja, have some basis in fact. No wonder some of us think the Lilja-bashing is beyond ridiculous. Deflects pucks into his own net every game? Gonna need to see some tape of that. I think I remember that happening once. Unfortunately for your absurd claim, there've been 60-odd more games this season where it hasn't happened.

Sorry I wasn't clear. He does one of those things every game. In last night's game he did both.
