Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 Honestly, I doubt that they would bring him in because he's a gritty defenseman, and then ask him not to be the kind of defenseman we brought him in to be. I dunno, but I think that the facial gestures & body language of EVERY player in this photo is pretty telling. A Picture Speaks a Thousand Words...

SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 So Stuart isn't going to be physical, something we can accurately predict after seeing him play ZERO games with the Red Wings so far? Just what exactly is this being based on? Since we are just randomly predicting the future without any normal logic or thought whatseover, maybe I should be one of those fortune teller people predicting the future then. I could predict that I'd actually go out on a date with Jessica Biel. Unfortunately I didn't use any logic with that prediction either, much like the creation of this thread being well-thought out either.
Superman54 91 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 whats really retarded is that probably one of the biggest reasons we got him is because he is physical...... Like why would you say he isn't!!! I just don't get it!!!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 Actually it has been said that one of the main reasons in the trade for Stuart is becuase he is a physical defense man and a solid puck mover. I am very happy with him.

I am very happy with him. I was going to say that... Yeah, I'm pretty sure being physical and being a great puck mover don't interfere with each other... Well they don't interfere enough that he can't be both. Stuart is going to come in and lay some guys out, and I caaaaaaaaan't wait. Please don't let us down. ehorn3 2 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 Just so all of you know. I have personally talked to Holland. He has assured me that Stuart was the laziest sucking defenseman that he could afford at the deadline. (Krupp would not come out of retirement either because he is too loyal to Ave's fans). The reason he traded for Stuart is because Holland felt that if there was a leash on Stuart, Red Wings fans would divert their attention to how lazy Brad is instead of noticing how horrible Sammy is. It's all part of a masterplan

WiNgSowN 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 I don't get some of these so-called "fans" on these forums. If you want to talk crap about the team or any player then just don't waste your breath and our time. There's a reason why they play the game and you are sitting at home talking about them. Support your team, if you want to complain all the time, find a new team. You can't predict the future so until it happens, don't speak.
Mudvayneowns91 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 (edited) Now I'm not saying I agree with the Enforcer and I hope Stuart is going to steam roll people, but good God guys.... Give the man a break. He was just giving his personal opinion on the trade. Didn't you notice the first thing he said was "I don't think"? So if you disagree, that's fine, but why is there any need to just keep on insulting him? It's like some of you think you're the All Mighty himself and it's your absolute duty to dog on people. I just think it's really unnecessary and immature to keep saying how stupid this thread was and keep insulting the guy. Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted February 28, 2008 Has anyone taken a look at the goals of the week on NHL.com? any thoughts on the goal that is made off of stuart while basically in his own goal? (like number 6 or 7)
therock48880 14 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 We've got to get a jump on the reasons why he sucks and we hate him. Inevitably he'll be compared to Lidstrom by LGW members. Since he won't ever play as well or the way Nick does, he will be a target on this site. I'm going to guess that the first "Stuart Sucks" thread will be around March 7th. Just a hunch. Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted February 28, 2008 Holland said one of the main reasons he was picked up was because of his physical presence There you go! I just think it's really unnecessary and immature to keep saying how stupid this thread was and keep insulting the guy. I think part of the reason people reacted like that was because the guy just made a random statement and didn't even try to support it. If you want to say something like that, fine, say it if it is your opinion, but at least give a reason. Then other people asked him why he thought this and he never responded. That is what I have an issue with. To me, when someone makes a statement as blanketed as the one the OP made and doesn't even try to support it, even when asked, that is what makes someone look ridiculous. Opie 308 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 I love this place: Holland sucks he did nothing to make the team better seems to be a popular mantra around here. Yet these were the same people who ***** insistently about Sammy being on the 2nd pp point. Guess what people, STUART DOES THAT!!!!!! IF the Wings win this year it would be almost as gratifying as the first Sox series win in 04, all the band wagoners and fair weather fans will make this so much sweeter!!!! CrossCheck24 2 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 Although alot of people here wear the proverbial 'black hat,' but we are ALL disappointed when the team loses or a player doesn't work out. I don't see why all of these nay sayers are disappointed if they know its coming. Case in point: the Browns (or the lions). They sucked pretty much since they have come back, and besides this past year, I wouldn't have bet on them if I found a nickel in the street. So when they lost, I say "eh, what did you expect? maybe next time" I don't see why these pessimists aren't more like that^
