Pronger at it again

Little know fact about this incident is that Kesler got up and stomped Pronger in the face, but his skate went through the gap in his teeth and fell off into his stomach. He s*** it out later.

Now this i enjoyed reading. :hysterical:

After seeing this new incredibly clear video, if he's not out for the season + playoffs, it's too light. Nevermind whether he even gets suspended at all, which I doubt. I think all the pressure from the media and the ENTIRE HOCKEY WATCHING POPULATION ON THE PLANET should make Campbell do something, which is exactly what Burke will whine about when it happens. We all know how prone Burke is to making himself look like a little *****, and this will be no exception. I got 10 bucks says he cries. Pronger too.

If the league now does nothing in light of this ridiculously clear video, there will be an outrage. We'll have to put together an army to overthrow the league offices, and take it over for ourselves. They may take our lives, but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!!!

Hmm. #1 on to-do list: think of new rallying cry.

pronger did not get suspended because there was no injury not because of his all star status. If there was a injury there would of been a suspension. Like in the West conf. when Holms got hit if there was no injury then he would of not of been suspended.

You need to take off you Duck glasses for a moment. This guy has a history of having a violent mean streak in him. He is an absolute disgrace to the game. If was on any other team but your own, you would hate him.

I wish they would allow restreaming of the NHL live show - you should listen to those guys - talked about Pronger the whole time - tried to get Campbell on the show - but I had to miss the second half so no sure if they did or not...

Both guys were calling for suspensions for him - and were in absolute disbelief that it didn't happen.

It doesn't matter that the guy's leg didn't get badly hurt - he TRIED intentionally to injure him.

The NHL is a joke - this ******* has a history of offenses yet still gets away with cheap crap all the time - hell he's 10x worse than his teamate Bertuzzi. If the Ducks make it to the finals I will have to put an asterisk by it, because of the unethical salary cap and player resignings mid-season, but mostly because the league allows this goon on the ice.

I'm ashamed to be an NHL fan today.

Well, I thought it was deliberate before, but that new video is beyond doubt. Skate gets tangled.....tries to free it......STOMP <_< Then the guilty look on his face afterwards, the "I just got away with one, I hope nobody notices"

If the league had even an ounce of integrity they should ban him for the rest of the season plus playoffs (severity of incident, 9th suspension for Pronger, 30 game precedent for Simon).

I may be going off the deep end here (and tell me if I am, I insist), but if Pronger doesn't get suspended at all, I think Chris Simon has every right to sue the league for lost wages.

Except that the NHL more than likely has its own contracts which prevent you from taking issues like that up with any court other than an inside NHL arbitration thing. It's a sad, sad world.

My fault, then. Apolgoies to the OP, but that still goes for anyone who defends anyone who stomps.

Completely agreed, and I stated that multiple times towardst the beginning of the thread. Someone already made this mistake, but people need to read someone's entire post instread of being so quick to hit "reply" and start typing.

Thanks to therock48880 for clearing up things to Deke before I noticed the post.

It's funny that the first person to make a comment on the story cites double jeopardy.. didn't know this was a United States court

Double jeopardy only applies if you get acquitted of a crime. Pronger never faced any type of hearing. Besides, this isn't a criminal court. So, that poster

Damn, those clearer images prove what everyone in here is saying--it was clearly deliberate. Damn Pronger.

pronger_43900.jpg

Kesler isn't holding Pronger down, or stopping him from moving--Pronger looks down and knowingly drives his skate into Kesler's calf. Just a dangerous, stupid, reckless move on pronger's part.

Per Kuklas:

Update 11:01am PT:

Per NHL Live, it’s been announced that Chris Pronger does have a hearing this afternoon before the NHL, regarding this incident. More later.

93% of people on tsn say he should be suspended...im hoping rest of the season and playoffs but im not stupid and i know that will never happen.

In a just world you'd be right on with that punishment, especially considering the lengthy Simon suspension. However, in the NHL disciplinary world of double standards, I'll be surprised if he gets anything more than three games.
