Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 So someone doesn't like the string bracelet idea...that's just too damn bad. Look, if you don't want to do it - whether you are male or female, growing a playoff beard, wearing a bracelet, t-shirt or jersey or whatever - then don't. No one is forcing anyone to do any of this stuff. The intent of the string bracelets is for the ladies to do something other than not shave our legs for two months (and trust me, the guys would all be whining about having prickly-legged women by the time the Cup final starts...) to show our support for the Wings in the playoffs in a fun, creative way. I mean, I can't wear a t-shirt or sweater every game day - while my office has casual dress, we can't wear any band or sports team gear or anything with any kind of slogan on it (other than the company name, of course...). However, I can get away with the string bracelets, although my boss asked me to remove them should we ever meet with a client. If you want to participate, great! Join the Red Wings String Bracelet Sorority. If you don't want to participate, then don't. And if you think it's stupid, STFU. There is no need to put anyone down for the way they choose to support their team.
redwingslady87 130 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 well s*** yours looks all professional and such looks good even with that dreaded white one. Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 well s*** yours looks all professional and such looks good even with that dreaded white one. Mine don't look that good...just knotted here and there. Funny thing is, the first one I made I didn't count the knots when I was making it but I ended up with seven, including the one I made when I tied the thing to my wrist. Each series is the best of seven games. I still have to make my white one...but I don't wanna.
dawings 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 (edited) I was shaking and breaking out in a sweat but I finally managed. Now I assisted in 2 surgeries today and never broke a sweat....this was damn hard. But since I'm a strong and fair woman I had to concede. *sorry, crappy pic but don't have the werewithall to try again..double sigh* Edited April 15, 2008 by dawings

OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 see all the people coming in here complaining about the strings... need to kinda put things into perspective... the crap that all of ladies have to go through (making them, then tieing them) is so much more than say growing a beard... what we just kinda don't do anything kudos to all doing it! I've done them all with my teeth...but this one was a ***** to get on...the first 2 were so easy. What we have to endure.....sighs just one more time and then gets over it. The rest will be RED! Lidstromrules16 7 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 Nope. Red for a win White for a loss, and we wear all of them til the end. Join us? Or are you going the beard route? I will be doing a "modified" beard route. shave after every loss.........I like to look presentable. what if the wings win the cup, but go to 7 games for each series, you could have a lot of bracelets. Does Zetterberg shave even when its taking over his face? No. So we'll keep adding bracelets no matter what. if need be i will have 28 bracelets on my arm. or maybe 14 on each. if it gets to that point.
