Lovin Jiri Fischer 147 Report post Posted April 11, 2008 I feel really outdone. My job has a dresscode and we can't wear a lot of jewelery so I just used a single red thread and tied it.

DaKineMaui 8 Report post Posted April 11, 2008 (edited) all this talk about threads and strings got me to remembering a funny 'ladies joke(?)' I once heard. :::EDIT::: and yes, the word "fuse" is involved. Edited April 11, 2008 by DaKineMaui

Fear not, fellow accessorized one, this is not a bad sign. Rather, it is the work of the cosmos. Your bracelet, filled with the positive karma of love and victory has left to go in search of the cause of your joy, the Red Wings themselves. It has travelled through space and possibly time to reach the hearts of the team (metaphorically, of course, since physically entering their circulatory systems could compromise their health by putting an added strain on their immune systems). Once it has infused into them your love, and, by association, the love of all your bracelet-wearing soul-siblings, it will return to you. Unless it gets eaten by your housepet. C'mon.......playoffs......tie a goddamned knot! It fell off and we then proceeded to win the game, so I'm not too upset about it. And it was double knotted, so I have no idea how it came off. I'll just have to triple knot the next one.

Wear it around your ankle... It would be covered up by your sock or pants unless your job's dress code has you wearing mini skirts and high heels... If that is the case... Hopefully the bad vibes from the blue strings do not directly cause harm to the Wings.

Hopefully the bad vibes from the blue strings do not directly cause harm to the Wings. I'm just focusing on us beating the Wild at this point... I think it will help that they are going to be in Denver tomorrow. Hopefully the home crowd will give them that extra winning advantage!

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 So I had made my bracelets with specially knotted places so I could cut them off without the beads falling off. I thought I was going to have to do it the last weekend in April since I have to go to a training session for school. We have to scrub up, which usually includes taking off all jewelry. I talked to my teacher tonight and asked her which day we would be doing it so I could take off the bracelets at home so I wouldn't lose them. She asked what they were for, and I explained it, and she said I could just keep them on since it was just a training exercise and she didn't want to mess with hockey superstitions. Is she cool or what?!?!?!
hockeysattva 8 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Not trying to be negative here but while you should feel free to wear bracelets string or even a lucky game-day-thong it isn't the same as having a playoff beard.
