ethier_marc 1 Report post Posted April 6, 2008 Why is Nick Lidstrom's nickname not Saint Nick? It's perfect for him. He's the player who's always giving, and he can do no wrong. He's never missed the playoffs. He wears red and white. ProfessorLidstrom5 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 Eh, everyone has their own nicknames for certain players. I call Lidstrom "the Professor" or "Captain Professor" now. The reason for this is that he is so smart and it gets reiterated quite often. See quote below my sig. I get a lot of flak from people because Larionov was the original so called "professor" but that's the beauty in living in a country with freedom of speech. Saint Nick is a cool nickname though.
