I can appreciate the sentiment, but I'll take a goal over a fight or big hit any day of the week.

Edit: Looking at the photos again, notice all the old timers are the one's cheering the most...Lids, Homer, Drake. Everyone else is obviously happy, but great to see those who can appreciate what a great moment that was for Mac cheering the hardest. Brings a smile to my hockey heart.

I always said that I truely believed there was no way in hell that Darren could ever make it back to the Red Wings. I would cheer for him on his way attempt, but ultimately believed he would not make it and be happy enough that he tried. That in itself would give him the new direction to try other things in his life and be somewhat successful

Back in January, the "Chelios said about McCarty" thread, I posted-

"[i]Don't get me wrong, I loved Mac's time with Detroit. And I loved all my former girlfriends, too, but that doesn't mean that I want them back.[/i] "

I'm suddenly thinking I may call up an old girlfriend tonite.

People like you belong at the Joe. Today's game was pretty tame until the Wings got the two goal lead back. I think fans are always a little edgy in the first round.

I had to work today, so I was carrying my cell with instructions to the hubby to text me the score. Pretty soon, bzzz bzzz bzzz. I opened my phone to see "Mac scores! 1-0"

I almost cried standing behind the counter. We dvr'd the game, but I haven't gotten a chance to watch it. Red Sox are on, and hubby has taken the tv hostage!
