Hasek couldn't steal candy from a baby right now. I have as much condfidence in him as I'd have in my chances of marrying Jessica Alba.

We're leading this series, but it feels like all the life has been sapped out of this team during the last part of that game. They looked like a boxer after he's glassy eyed.

I am guessing you missed the last game, right? Whatever....

This team has too much playoff experience to get rattled by a bad loss like this. They'll be more focused and come out with a great game 4.

We would like to think so, but you would also think that a team with this much playoff experience wouldn't let this kind of crap happen in the first place. Can you imagine some of these prima donas having to deal with a team mate like Ted Lindsay after stinking the joint up like they did tonight. I think that this might be the downside of the Yzerman / Lidstrom type of leadership style. We need an ass-kicker in the locker room

Oh, how a slightly lower Brad Stuart one-timer would've saved us all of the drama right now...

Thanks, Brad.

Yeah I was just thinking the same thing. The Wings broke the Preds will in Detroit, but after now three tqo goal comebacks, I don't think that will happen anymore.

What was this board like after the Wings lost game 1 of the '02 Finals? People must have been writing suicide notes on here. It's one freakin game people... calm down

you don't remember? I do.

You're right, of course.

Now, where did I put that rope...? <_<

Man, I'm outta this thread, too many Chicken-lickens.

I wonder what the Anaheim boards were like last year when we won 5-1 there?

But that's the thing. Anaheim never had a chance in that game.

I'd rather lose the way Anaheim did in that game 3 then lose this way tonight.

From now on, each time after Trashville scores, we should send Downey or McCarty to go out there and start a fight, to stop the 2nd goal from occuring seconds later.

Nothing to worry about. The Wings will bounce back and head back to the Joe with a chance to finish the series up.

NFM..always around with the right words at the right time.

I'm too lazy to go back and see who it was that said it a couple of pages ago but I totally agree with the person who said (for game 4), Lilja out, Lebda in. Lebda's gotta be feeling pretty hungry after being a spectator for 3 games, especially with the last one being, well, you know.

Give Abdelkader a shot too? I'd do it at this point.

Not at all. The third one, he should have had. The fourth one, I defy anyone to show me a goalie who would have stopped that. The Wings allowed countless odd man rushes and made bad turnovers and Hasek bailed them out in the second.

Define "the right time" -- he stopped shots in the first and second that would have lost them the game, just sooner. When the entire team melted down in the third, he wasn't able to be the only player out there to fend off a determined Preds team with a head of steam. Couple that with a sloppy lackadaisical effort by the other five guys on the ice in Wings sweaters and you get what we got tonight.

Back to blaming!!

I was never blaming everything on Hasek, the defense sucked, thats obvious, but you kept blaming everything on the defense, never mentioning Haseks short comings tonight. I also do not recall him making any block buster saves to save our asses in this game, I expect him to make saves, considering he is a goalie, and that he did do. Game 2 he was great, but he also got lucky, the goal that didnt count, should have, and he would have a terrible start. The preds hit 2 posts in 5 seconds also, so to me, Hasek can be better, I mean he is the dominator. I love Hasek and hope to see him rebound, I just wasnt pleased how u put all the responsibilty on the defense, that is all. I don't enjoy watching the posts being the ones to bail us out.

Okay, so I never get into any of the goalie debates on this thread, and I'm not gonna change that here.

Defensive breakdown? Check.

No Hasek bailout? Check.

Unnecesary strategy change? Check.

Unnecessary line changes? Check.

I just felt like, this entire game, we weren't playing our own game. I just assumed that we were gonna win another tight one again, instead of blowing them out of the water, but a horrible breakdown and we lose instead.

I felt like our offensive chances were few and far between in this game, especially compared to usual WIngs game. And WHAT THE HELL is with us absolutely getting destroyed when Nashville catches the scent of blood. I mean, last game, when they scored their 2 quick # 1, they absolutely owned a long shift after that before Babs called the TO and we scored. This game, when they scored 2 quick #2, they carried the play straight through the end of the period. Finally, they scored 2 quick # 3, and they really didn't give us another chance for the rest of the game, when we should have been playing with more deperation. This team has wayyyyy to much experience to be epicly melting down the way that we have the past two games.

All in all, though, I'm not too worried. I was starting to smell a sweep, but I guess that it was not to be. Game 4 i going to be huge, and I suspect that we will take it.

O ya, and this goes out to OSGOD! Dude, you were at games 1 and 2, correct?? Okay, so, you were at games 1 and 2, the Wings won games 1 and 2. You weren't at game 3, the Wings lose game 3. BUY A PLANE TICKET or GAS UP THE CAR AND GO TO NASHVILLE MY FRIEND, WE NEED YOU THERE!

One thing that confuses me is why did we switch up the lines? We played great the previous two games, then Babcock (great coach, not blaming him necessarily) changes crap for no reason and at least in my opinion is was a huge failure.

Make it more difficult for Nashville to match-up?

What was his last playoff game like last year? And it appears he doesn't "do" playoffs anymore either...

Oh for the love of Parise! The guy gives up 34 in 18 games in the postseason last year, but it's all his damn fault because we didn't come to play Game 6 against Anaheim until it was too late. Maybe if the team could've put more than 1 in the fricken net the game before we wouldn't have been in that situation.

He gives up 4 tonight, one of which was bad, and he's sunk. Give me a ****ing break. Play some defense, make good line changes, don't leave to make a big hit for no reason, don't change lines 3 seconds after a faceoff when we're turning the puck over, make some effort to break up a 2 on 1....but no, it's all Dom.

This board is amazing.

I'd be shocked, SHOCKED, if there are lineup changes for Game 4. Detroit was a shade under four minutes from taking a 3-0 lead in this series.

It isn't broken, there's no need to fix it at this point. What they need to fix is MENTAL, not in personnel. Oh, and the power play needs to get a dagger to twist.

I think you're the only other sane person on this board right now.

Who cares about the negativity here? It's the outcome of the game that should piss you off. If people here weren't pissed, I would think I'd seen a mirage.

No, I'm pissed about the game too. Losing always sucks.

But what's pissing me off more is that people are going around saying "Hasek sucks, Lilja sucks, everyone sucks, the Wings are doomed." <_<

People need to have faith in their team.

I understand that, but at the end of the day, isnt a loss just a loss?

One can only hope that guys like Cheli, Nick,Drapes, and Dmac are composed enough by now to see that.

Can we stop turning the puck over at our own blue line?

Also, Rafalski, I love ya, but get with it. The only plays I'm noticing out of you are bad ones.

Stuart, what the hell were you doing?

Sammy, make a play, just once.

Hasek, get it back, and make everyone forgive. Sorry I cursed your name.

LGW, we need 700 posts for a Game 4 victory.

I'm seriously wondering if Babs told McCarty to chill out as I don't see him getting in too many altercations...he's got to get into NHL playoff hockey shape I guess? lol
