savaking72 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 I don't think Forsberg or Budaj are going to be of any help to the Avs. If we get out of Denver win even one win the series is ours. The guys on the Avs have a pretty pissed off about Floppa. He is just signed for the playoffs, and then he's out when they need him most. I bet no one falls for Forsberg again next year. On the other hand. Our guys were freak'n awesome today. 60 minutes of hockey. It was scary how good we were today. Hats off to everyone on the Wings. What an awesome effort by the boys. GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 I am a bit nervous now about Tuesday. Colorado will likely be starting Budaj and Forsberg will likely be in the lineup. I hope Detroit keeps it up like they did today. Hopefully the fans in the Pepsi Can don't get to the boys heads. Let's go Red Wings! We own that building and besides there will be many Wings fans in attendance. We always beat those idiots there.

kylee 727 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Pieere 'I thought detroit blows, but since im wrong ill pretend i knew all along' yeah seriously. "blah blah blah thats why ive been saying for weeks that i think the red wings are in real trouble' SHUT UP! this game was absolutely amazing. i think this is the best weve seen the Wings play. Osgood just so solid its amazing not having to worry about 2 goals possibly getting scored on you in 10 seconds (goalie and defense both) Forsberg or not, Avs are in trouble. and its great to see the Wings playing great this time of year when it really counts. Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 (edited) Just got home after the game (and reserving my copy of GTA4...), and it was awesome. The joe was great. Couple huge ozzie chants at the end, sure everyone heard. I'm so glad we didn't sit back too much after going up 4-0, we played awesome. Franzen is the s***, as is Z. What was Pieere saying about the wings? Edited April 27, 2008 by Z and D for the C
Nero 20 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Quenneville told reporters he does not expect to make a goaltender change for Game 3.Does this mean Theodore is in again? Or does he think he stands a chance?

redwing_sparty 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 just saw the espn wrapup with melrose. its so funny. you can tell that he;s seriously pissed off that detroit is having such a good series so far. he wouldn;t give ozzie any props though cause he says ozzie didnt face enough shots. whatever. he made some big saves. either way, he's probably crapping bricks over his precious san jose sharks losing the 1st game at home against dallas. haha
RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Hey, folks. Just got back from the game. I have been to a lot of games at The Joe over the years, but today was probably the most energized and awesome a crowd has ever been. The second period was just miraculous. It was a joy to be a part of.
Superman54 91 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 What a joy to watch, it reminded me of game 5, last year, against the flames. Wings played such a solid game, it was too fun to watch.

dallas27 7 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 They keep rolling like they are, not too many teams are going to beat them in a 7 game series.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 We have to treat this like the series is tied. The Wings need to start from scratch. Play a perfect game again, dominate, but don't go in there thinking you own this series. Colorado is going to play different. And how many times has the return of an injured player boosted a team to come back? So let's not assume Forsberg will be a non-factor. That being said, I think Sakic is better than Forsberg and HE's been a nonfactor. So we'll see. I'm excited but not thinking this is over, not by a longshot. A series is like a long game. If the WIngs sit back thinking they have this series in hand, they allow the Avs to come back. Keep the foot on the accelerator and don't let off the Avs! jim3033 1 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Hey friends, I was at the game today and I had an awesome time! I've never been to a game that exciting. It was a nail biter in the beginning, there was a fight with D-mac, plenty of goals against our rival avs and a Franzen hat trick. Just a great time all around. Wings totally dominated and when the game was close Osgood came up big. The place was super loud before the game even began! Great game. Go Wings! The atmosphere in there was like we had already won the series! It was great!
Packer487 3 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Nobody in the league beats this team if they keep playing like that. If I would've known Franzen was going to score 22 goals in 24 games, I woudn't have been so dead-set on us needing a forward at the deadline. What the hell happened to that guy? He's absolutely amazing. He batted that puck out of the air TWICE on his third goal. That's some hand-eye coordination. How on earth is Quinnville not going to put Budaj in for game 3? Theodore has been awful. Not that I'm complaining.... Has anyone on the telecast called out Barry Melrose for his "Theodore is the best goalie in the playoffs" prediction yet? By the way, we're now 5-0 in the playoffs in games I haven't watched live. Not only am I helping the team, watching on the DVR allows me to easily tune out Mike Milbury and Pierre MacGuire, so that's fun too.
Yak19 303 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 i left to work when the wings were up 3-0 and more sweetness proceeded, great win, complete and utter domination, just mad i missed Dmac fight. GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kylee 727 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Or Avs in 6? Not getting ahead of myself but come on... well youre forgetting they have been without the best player in the world the last two games so melrose's pick will be exempt!!!
Packer487 3 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Or Avs in 6? Not getting ahead of myself but come on... Was it in 6? I didn't hear it, but I read somewhere he said Avs in 5 because Theodore is the best goalie in the playoffs. I suppose it could still happen (in six) but it was absurd to praise Theodore as much as he apparently did. Congrats, he shut down the WILD. Yippee do dah. Now watch him come out and get a shutout in game 3 to shut us all up. :-P Hopefully the Wings come out with a little better effort on the road than they did last series. If they keep playing like they have been, this one is done in four (or five at absolute most). They looked SO good today. Offense put up 5 goals with the "secondary scoring" accounting for four of them. Defense barely let the Avs near our net and Ozzie made the saves he needed to make even though he probably could've left the net to go get some of that deeeelicious Joe Louis Little Caesar's Pizza in between shots a couple of times there. No one in the league touches this team if they keep playing like that.

I promptly laughed my ass off in front of customers. They asked me why I laughed and I told them, they got a good chuckle out of it to. Reiterating what you said; they keep playing like this and no team stands a chance. San Jose still scares me a little but if Detroit keeps playing like they are you can throw any team you want at them and they will make them look silly. When this team gets going it's amazing how easy and simple they make this game look.
