Ribiero is a pansy. Almost as blatant as Calgary's backup goalie slash last year, and that got like 5 games if I recall correctly. Still, he'll probably only get a game for it, if that.

The difference being that Kiprusoff was pulled for no reason at the very end of a game that was settled in favor of Mclennan, who proceeded to, on almost the very next play, go nuts on a Wing player. He was on the ice for one reason; to take action against a Wings player without risking the star goaltender being suspended.

Ribeiro was on the ice at the time because Dallas was down by a goal and he is their first-line center. It's the difference between the Wings putting Aaron Downey or Pavel Datsyuk out at the end of a game and either of them going nuts on an opposing player.

Wings played shut down defense tonight. Ozzie was great. i t hink the score should have ended 3-1 (the Zetterberg "hand pass" goal was called off) but nonetheless. two wins away from going to the Stanley Cup finals. we were at this spot last year (although im pretty sure after two games the series was 1-1). Outside of the Wings playing their worst hockey of the playoffs in the next possibly 5 games, i think we will be going to the finals. and that is amazing!

how do you figure?

we won a grinding type of hockey game. these types of games i was expecting more of when the playoffs started. i think the Wings are proving they can score a lot of goals and win, or just score 2 and win because of their defense/goalie.

We need to capitalize on the chances we get ( we had a few chances to put the game out of reach).

I though we looked ok, not great.

We need to play better if we are to hoist the cup.

The refs did a good job of taking control of the game, I expect nothing less from here on out.

Listened to the game on the radio because i was at work, a real butt clincher, good thing i didnt have to watch it on versus though, good win boys, keep at it.

Questions, questions, questions.

Although I was able to keep up with the score, I saw nothing of the game (barring the Kronner/Drake hits shown on ESPN SC after I got off work). I talked to some people who watched the game at the local, and was told by one that there would def be a suspension on the high-stick on Ozzie during closing seconds-- he didn't know who it would be called on, tho.

I'll go back and read the thread (I'm not lazy, but yikes, there's nearly 40 pages to read), but would greatly appreciate a quick answer now.

Nice to see us take such a close game in the playoffs. Dallas definitly shot themselves in the foot this game. How many shots can they shoot wide lol? Especially that 4 on 1!! Was laughing so hard after that lame 4 on 1 chance. Also Ozzie really came out and cut off the angle tonight man! Not much on him but he did what he needed to again! Good game and Go Wings!! Can we make it a 3-0 series lead? Gonna be tough but i hope we can pull it out!

That's because as difficult as it was to catch at full speed, hand pass was absolutely the correct call.

I have to give big kudos to the ref for that one, honestly. Extremely difficult to spot and he not only caught it, he didn't hesitate to make the correct call.

That is funny. Because I saw the replays and they clearly showed that he touched the puck with his hand, but THEN IT DEFFINITELY TOUCHED ONE OR SEVERAL STICKS BEFORE IT ENDED ON Zets stick (or was it Datsyuk) and then in the goal.

SO IT WAS NO HAND PASS AT ALL, but I agree at the speed the play was going it was extremely difficult to spot.

We won, so all is well regardless. :-)

Shoot, i would have gotten more than a suspension. I would have slashed him with my stick to the face, and hopefully knocked some sense into his ass, or maybe some teeth out. But you know both would be great.
