They really started changing the tune after the game was over (not to say nothing good was said about Detroit during the game either) - now it's all Wings lovin that we're up 3-0. People here think the media is focusing too much on the other teams, see what happens when Kid Crosby and Malkin are on the other side. LGW will be apoplectic! I'm trying to stay level-headed but watching them 2 play night in and night out I just get the feeling that nobody can stop them. From what I've seen of Pitts, they look like they play a slower game than we do. I don't think they've faced a team as defensive minded as we are. With Dats and Zetts a force both offensively and defensively, I think *and hope* Pitts with have a rude awakening. I also don't think Fleury is an A+ Gtender. If they keep it up, everyone better get ready to enjoy the last 5 games of hockey season because they can't be touched with the kind of effort they've been putting out. Here's hoping they finish this out ASAP and have Franzen back for the Finals. Datsyuk has proven to be worth every penny they paid him (I'll definitely eat crow on that one...he's good enough defensively that he makes an impact in every game, whether he's scoring or not) and Zetterberg had two of the prettiest plays of the playoffs tonight. They're a joy to watch when they "play the right way" (to use a Larry Brown term). "Boring" isn't quite the right term, but let's just say this hasn't been like the battles we had with Colorado back in the day. They're making these other teams look silly. I took a similar fall one time and couldn't move my elbow out of a sling-type position for three days. Nasty angle on his elbow too. He'll probably be out there for Game 4, but now both he and Modano are banged up. Bad combo. Not cocky - just an opinion. From what I've seen of Pitts, they look like they play a slower game than we do. I don't think they've faced a team as defensive minded as we are. And we haven't played a team anywhere NEAR as offensive-minded as Pittsburgh. The Pens will be the first honest-to-God even matchup of this playoff run.
