The call on Holmstom was horses***.

He wasnt in the crease at all and further more Turco initiated the contact.

The feeble minded refs fell for it and the rest is history.

How sweet was it to see Zetts dangle him and blow it over his floundering ass?

He was WAY out of the net when the puck went in.

All I could think about was "serves him right".

Thoughts?

I thought this game was pretty poorly officiated, I have come to expect it though.

I agree emphatically with all of this, then I saw you used the Emrick phrase "dangle" and I'm turned off by the entire post. Dangle is not hockey word and I hate Emrick for trying to say it every five seconds. He's a retard.

Anyone besides me think Dallas was getting just about every call their coach shouted from the bench at the refs. I mean we won which is all that matters, but it just seems to me like they go away with murder and we got called for hitting them too hard.

Dangle is definitely a hockey word.

But I was just as happy to see Hank make Richards look like garbage as paying Turco back for that s***ty penalty.

To be honest, I don't think it was that bad of a call (there were much worse ones called this game). While Turco did in a way initiate the contact, Homer did seem to have a foot in the crease. If Homer was completely outside of crease then it shouldn't be a penalty, but as the rules state, the goaltender has the right to be free from contact anywhere in his crease... he must be able to position himself without anyone interfering, and Homer in a way invaded his space. Maybe I'm wrong and Homer was completely outside the crease, but from the replay I watched it seemed he was right there. Maybe I just wasn't very upset because Z happened to score on the play. And as a side note I loved the look on Homer's face after Z scored - he smiled like he knew Hank would make them pay.

I took a page out of Rasheed's book and yelled "THE PUCK DON'T LIE!" when Z put that one in. Absolutely horrible call.

Dangle is definitely a hockey word.

I'm with ya. Emerick definitely didn't make that one up...

I'd rather hear Pat Foley announce the games instead of Doc "the Darren Pang look alike" Emerick. Twirling is what figure skaters do.

I recall yelling at the TV when Z scored that shorty "Yea, you can take that bulls*** penalty and stuff it up your ass!" or something along those lines. From what I've seen of the vids, Homer was completely outside of the crease and Turchoke (picked that one up from the Dallas boards) tripped him.

When I saw that play, I was thinking back to the trade deadline and how much of a big deal Richards was to everyone...Great Pickup Dallas!!!

On the penalty front, yikes.

How is it that Morrow can hold Lebda's stick and Dallas scores, yet McCarty gets called for the hold on Modano?

How is it that Maltby hits Norstrom maybe 1 second late, and gets called, but Ott can run Datsyuk after a whistle and gets nothing?

Every team everywhere always has and always will think that they are getting the short end of the whislte......according to THIER fans. C'mon folks. This ain't nothing new. The difference between the Wings and so many other teams is that they stay focused and don't let it gnaw at thier insides to make them lose poise. And it sure is sweet when the Wings offer up a shorthander as a statement of disapproval, huh? Pretty goal....very pretty goal. Turdco looked pretty silly. Karma.

I thought I was the only one that noticed that. I was hoping he would just give up the stick and then maybe the ref would make the call......didn't happen though............. and that run on Pav after the whistle could easily have been 2 as well................. lucky we won or I would really be bitchin' ! I still think someone needs to jack Ott up before the season ends !

yea what are you talking about? Ever played NHL 08? Dangler is a type of player like sniper or grinder. I've heard of "dangle" in terms of hockey long before Emrick.

Don't forget about Ott slashing the inside of Holmstrom's leg 4 times with no call!!! Those refs definitely blew!
