russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Pathetic display today at home. PATHETIC. Agreed Matt. I agree with you that Mac needs to sit in the cushy press box seats for game 6. Just interested in your opinion as to who should get in between Downey, Abdelkader, and Hartigan. I think that Downey's skating will be just as big of an issue as Mac's was, and I think that between Hartigan and Abdelkader, Hartigan wins due to experience, but I want it to be Abdelkader. MississippiWing 14 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 I said the same thing, "oh they are gonna come out and play harder after than game 4 travesty" Bulls***. that was the worst effort i've seen the whole playoffs. It looked like our guys couldn't wait for their shift to end and get back to the bench. Nothing against Ozzie but that Lunquist shot was not that amazing. I feel that could have been prevented. We've got to come out and hit in game 6 and get on the board early otherwise we are gonna be in the history books for the 2nd time.
Krystal 41 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 i think they let up too much on the physical game they were getting momentum from that and they had their chances but couldn't capitalize on them. we still have the lead in the series they just need to find that desire to win again, babcock will without a doubt have them skating 100 times harder in game 6. Absolutely. I think the team meeting after this game is going to be a long one. We made so many mistakes, couldn't connect on our scoring chances, we were looking a lot like Dallas in game 3. Just dead on our feet, couldn't start anything - and the minute we almost had something going.. we'd make a careless mistake to wipe it. Here's to putting this game behind us, and getting ready for Game 6.
Superman54 91 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 I love Cheli, but the guy always loses the puck, fans on passes....he just doesnt being enough on the table to play in my oponion....At least with Lilly Pads u know ur gonna get some shots blocked
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 yeah and a few days ago it was "the wings just need to win 1 of the next 4 games" im officially concerned That's the great thing about a 3-0 lead. They need 4 in a row. We need 1 game out of those 4. The Wings WILL take game 6 in Dallas.

MississippiWing 14 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 If our team is dependent on Franzen to give us a boost, then we really are collapsing like a house of cards. I just saw no effort in that game. Pitiful

cboth686 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 anyone else baffled by our wings slow decision making process. cleary looked like he was on valluim (sp) that shift. the ice looked horrible but not as bad as they played. they didnt deserve this game today

russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Dallas came out strong from the beginning of the game. That right there sent up a red flag for me. I saw the first five minutes of the game and knew there was going to be trouble. Obviously it's time to shake up some things here. Does anyone think that putting McCarty, Draper, and Maltby together could jump start the team?? Just a thought, I'm not sure if it's been tried since McCarty has returned. I love Mac but he needs to be scratched, he is struggling to keep up with the pace of this series.
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 I'd rather have Abdelkader in there in place of McCarty. He's been absolutely brutal.
sdogg1m 3 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Guys 2mins4hooking is a troll. Don't feed him and he will go away. As far as the game, Detroit needs to start watching line changes while Turco has the puck. Take heart in the fact that without his two passes to lead the rush, Dallas did not score. I think if Detroit corrects that and gets back to making long crisp passes of their own then this series will be over next game.
CAredwingsfan91 28 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Homer took a dumb penalty. Drapes better be careful, I don't know if the league will review his crosscheck on Morrow's face. We'll see. Dallas played outstanding. Wings seemed not to push forward. Can't do this Wings. haha oh god not another suspension talk i hope no one starts a thread on that, obviously riberos or however that crap is spelt was far worse than drapes NOTHING will happen, probably a fine but hes not gonna get suspended end of that. Reilly 24 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 I love Mac but he needs to be scratched, he is struggling to keep up with the pace of this series. There's a lot of players that need to be scratched. Unfortunately, some of them have to play.

FunkedUp 29 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 It was not a good enough effort. The wings were just outplayed today, no excuses. I think Drake, and Maltby had a good game though.

GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 I think his helmet is affecting his play. He seems like he can't see the puck, and is constantly missing the net on every chance he gets. He never has his head up, and is instead crouching down each time he has the puck.
WiNgSowN 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 Monday could be a real good day or a real bad disappointing day The Wings have a chance to end the series and book a trip to the Stanley Cup (again) and the Spurs have a chance to move on to play the Lakers in the WCF And I'm confident in both...they both have experience and that I think is going to be the difference

FinWing 26 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) A bad game by the Wings all around, they never woke up after a slow start and nobody was able to hit the net to save their lives. Credit to Dallas for a strong performance and not rolling over. They deserved to win today. Here's some adversity we haven't had in these playoffs and I think the guys will respond with their best game in game six. Yemack 1 Report post Posted May 17, 2008 IMO our effort was there. Just that our heart wasn't there. Also Dallas is doing to us what we do to other team, and we get easily frustrated and don't have answer for them. Wings want things go their way always.. and if not, they just crumble.
