It's been quite a ride so far. I definitely miss Kevin Palzynsky's (sp?) Rinkside Ramblings; his columns during the '02 playoffs were epic. I still remember whole passages of them. I especially remember the "7th Heaven" headline after the Colorado series ended. Good times.

I've lost track of 3 accounts, but I joined this site back when I was living in Colorado when the wings won in 2002. I believe. I remember being in Colorado and going to a bar called the Tin Lizzy, which was a Detroit Sports themed sports bar in downtown Denver, lol. It would overflow with Redwings fans, and so would the restraunt across the street. I joined a local club called "Redwings fans of Colorado" which had hundreds and hundreds of members.

Their website was letsgoredwings.com Well one night I drunkenly left out the "red", and stumbled upon this place.

I dated a girl for over a year who was a huge Avalanche fan. Amazingly, she actually really did know a lot about hockey. But she turned into a psycho, so every time I see the Wings crush the Avs, I send her a telepathic F*ck you

I know that there are a good number of members here that have been around prior to the 2002 Cup run, but the immense traffic -- and a poor host -- back during that playoff run meant the site was repeatedly crippled due to immense traffic. It broke the database several times and the forum had to be re-installed -- complete with everyone having to re-register.

However, since then the traffic has been much higher and outside of a few hiccups here and there everything's been running smoothly.

Had to re-register once. I've been around for awhile.

Eh, I joined in 03' but was a regular before then. I was just a freshman in HS at the time so I really didn't get on much. Its been great to see how the site has evolved and how many people are now here. It's fantastic!

I joined in 2002, but like others have stated, why does it matter? It doesn't signify when you became a Wings fan. I've been a fan since the 80's, I actually stumbled upon this site in 2002, didn't even realize hockey discussion boards existed until then......I know, stupid me.

Yeah, Matt is the admin - but his join date is the same as mine. I remember all those problems Matt. I think I joined in 2001 sometime, but I don't think anyone has an earlier join date listed than June 4th, 2002 anymore.
