With Canadian viewer ship dropping this year in the playoffs for all the rounds. I can understand they want change.

That's stupid, a step in the wrong direction. gcom007, your going to have a tough time. I'm pretty sure there going to want "Sid unplugged". You know just crosby a stool and a guitar. hahahah

Sure, I'll give them that but compose it in a manner that when played in reverse it has lyrics about the Wings reigning forever and Crosby crying for mommy. It can be done. Oh yes, it can be done...

CBC has "decided not to renew" other deals before, including HNIC itself. But a national uproar has led to them reverse their decision. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens here.

cbc.ca's video player has an interview with one of the men in charge there and he said that he had no idea about this until he got home from detroit at 1pm today because his blackberry was broken. he claims that the composer gave him a deadline of tomorrow at 5pm to make a decision.

he also said that he does not foresee this being a problem and if for some reason they cannot reach an agreement they will hold a contest across the country to choose a new theme song.
