gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 Well, as a composer, I'm wondering if they've already got something in mind or if they're auditioning/commissioning anything. If it's gotta go, I want in on this action!!!

BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 CBC has "decided not to renew" other deals before, including HNIC itself. But a national uproar has led to them reverse their decision. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens here.

12Newf 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2008 cbc.ca's video player has an interview with one of the men in charge there and he said that he had no idea about this until he got home from detroit at 1pm today because his blackberry was broken. he claims that the composer gave him a deadline of tomorrow at 5pm to make a decision. he also said that he does not foresee this being a problem and if for some reason they cannot reach an agreement they will hold a contest across the country to choose a new theme song.
