I've met alot of hockey players in Montreal. I used to work at a luxurious condominium Building many years ago when I was a student and there were always Hockey players moving in and out. Schneider, Wilkie, Ulanov, Tremblay, Ronald Corey, Claude lemiuex and those are just some names. There would be alot of players walking in with other players that didn't live there. There was also Michael Routtenberg who lived there (he was part owner of the expos) He used to walk in with many ball players like Pedro Martinez, Moises Alou, and Larry Walker to name some.

But the best was when I got to play pick-up Hockey with Matt Schneider he was on my team and on another occasion I played against Chelli both games were at Lower Canada College (Schneider played for the leafs then and Chelli I believe was in Chicago at that point).

I also got to play one time with Mark Messier when he was in town to film one of his Lays potato chip commercials. Also at Lower Canada College better known as L.C.C.

Too bad I never met Stevie or Shanny.

Oh almost forgot I met Cam Neely once and I still have his Hockey stick which he signed.

Ohboy. While the rest of us are sitting here imagining what that situation must have been like and just talking to The Man, you're sittin' there with your arms and legs crossed, goin, "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!"

I'd feel for ya, but I'm having way too much fun thinking about what fun that must have been!

And more and more of you take the bait... hook, line and sinker...

Weren't you the guy who claimed his wife was having a baby? Didn't people congratulate you without demanding to see an ultrasound, and then demanding a DNA test to prove the child was yours?

I would consider that just as big of a deal as meeting Z. (And I hope all is well with your family, which, for the record, I believe exists without proof.)

To the OP: That's cool. I can't wait to see the results of your work with Z.

Noted, and thanks! I was just laughing at what I wrote (no believy) and the pure anger of the responses that it received. I would kill to meet Z (scratch that, my wife would kill, I'd just be pretty stoked), or Nick or Cheli or Doug Brown. I'd kill to meet Stevie Y.

That was a little odd. What was perhaps a little more odd was that another one of our developers was also wearing a Cubs shirt that day along with the exact same Tigers hat, right down to the orange logo. I think Z became his favorite hockey player on the spot.

As he was leaving, somebody made a joking comment about the shirt and he gestured to the hat too and said "hey, gotta support both my teams". I'd be curious to know how and why he became a Cubs fan, not that there's anything wrong with that of course.

Thank you very much. I've been playing jokes all day at work, and now I read this from early June. I've got some bad karma coming my way... I've just pushed too many buttons!!!

Oh yeah, how stupid can ya get, eh? Taking you at your word, believing what you wrote...!

Will we EVER learn, huh?! :nonono:

Humor is a whole nother world from "Look at me!, Look at me!"

Not to worry, bubba. I won't make the mistake of taking you seriously again, or even feel sorry for you anymore.

As Dale Carnegie, who wrote "How to Win Friends and Influence People" must have written somewhere, Have a great day/week/month/year/millenium. And I'm sure copies of that book are still available?

Yeah, I wonder why....couldn't have anything to do with the fact that a guy shares a neat story that happened to him and you gotta try and hog the spotlight with your little "jokes."

So congratulations....you've officially derailed the thread and made it about you instead of the original topic. Hope you like the attention. And shame on me for contributing to it, but it had to be said.
