Then Sidney will cry and the NHL will force all other sports leagues (NBA,MLB,NFL) to retire it instead.

87, then we'll sign him longterm and retire his number before the nhl can force us to Gretzky-retire Crosby's 87.

Correct me if I am wrong, but does his brother, Marcel Hossa, not wear the number 81?.. I believe he does, so I guess its possible that he would wear the same number as his brother. But I also wouldnt be surprised to see him just end up with another number all together..

If I were Maltby, I would lease him #18 for an enormous amount of money for one year, with a long term option. Someone in the NFL did that two or three times, can't remember who it was.

Edit: Seriously though, something about Hossa 81 is kinda badass.

Since 18 is taken by someone with more seniority(Maltby), I can't see Hossa getting his number 18.

Maybe the reverse - 81?

I say he wears the jersey of a mathematical forumula, like the depth of a triangle...B x W X H

*shrugs*

On a serious note, which line will he play on?

Not so fond of splitting up ZDH.

I'd say second line with Franzen for sure and probably Filppula.

Yea, that's why I asked :D

ZDH have great chemistry and work perfectly as a line. Holmstrom clears up so much space on the ice, retrieves pucks, and always goes to the net.
