Behind the Scenes look of Wings Championship DVD

I ordered mine from Barnes and Noble and it shipped today, since not only am I in Minnesota, but the nearest city that *might* have it is an hour away (and with one day off of work this week, I figured that was the best shot).

It's always worth it to try and find Wings stuff here...sometimes you get surprised....I looked all over for the Sports Illustrated issue and finally found it at my local grocery store which totally shocked me as well, it's not even that big of a grocery store. :P Sometimes there's surprises everywhere.

Hopefully I'll have mine by the weekend. And believe me, I'll make time to watch it. (and then everyone in my life will spend the next month telling me to shut up about it)

Really what part of MN are u from? Yea I went to Barnes in St. Paul they didnt even have it ordered, very disapointed:) But I must say it was fun tracking it down realizing that there are so many Wings fans here in MInny. I love being a hometown guy rooting for such a great team. My friends are always jealous, stupid wild fans:)

I'm in the Southeast corner by LaCrosse.

And yeah, I just never could really get on board with the Wild....although I will cheer like mad for them when the play the stars.

I mention red wings around here...people think I'm talking about shoes or pottery  SE MN (or at least this part) just isn't a big hockey spot.

Oh well, I'll keep spreading the word.

And religiously checking my UPS tracking thread for my DVD since I can't wait to watch it.

I havent watched the special features yet

The "Wireless Practice" is probably the best. The "Who farted?" section is hilarious. I can show it to my wife and say "See, look! I'm normal for a guy!"

I got mine at Barnes & Noble in Portage.

BTW, thanks for the tip... I got the last one on the shelf!

NFM we were let down. I checked, no shipment today. I called NHL.com store and they told me that it wasn't scheduled to be sent out until the 15th.

LAME!

Good thing I canceled my order and ordered it through Amazon. They've already shipped mine yesterday and their tracker states it'll be at my house in Green Bay, WI (leaving from Phoenix, AZ) no later than 7-14-08.

Dr. Cox is narrating the Wings Championship DVD? AWESOME!!

I wish Chelios would guest star on scrubs next year and bring the Cup.

I could write that episode. Make him all like JD for that episode try and get him to be a mentor to him. Lol.

Janitor would inscribe his name on the cup....

I am halfway done already!!!

That would be pretty sweet. I always thought Cheli was kinda like Dr. Cox.... grizzled, snarky and generally an unpleasent guy to deal with at work, but a good guy nonetheless.

The 1.4gb Xvid rip is uploading on nhltorrents.co.uk right now. A DVD (4.7gb ISO) will be uploaded after that first one has finished, but with my slow upload speed, that DVD will take forever.

Mine arrived yesterday and I watched about half of it last night before going to bed. It is put together well and is entertaining to watch. I think it was worth the wait!

UGH mine won't be here til MONDAY...STUPID!

Yeah I got a Monday shipment estimate too. That's what I get for the free shipping though! - I'll be away this weekend so it will give me something to look forward to next week!! Wish I was in MI so I could have just ran to the store to get it! I did check some Denver stores - like B&N just in case! Apparently folks in Denver don't want to see the Wings kicking the Avs butts AGAIN!

I ordered mine from NHL.com and got it today. I think it's the best one yet. The production qualities - especially the background music and editing really add a whole lot to the whole dvd. It pays to turn it up a little when you watch it. :burnout:

Living close to Toronto, I always get things a few days after those of you in Metro Detroit.

I got my copy today, Saturday, and just finished watching it. I don't know if it's because I just got it, but I think this could be my favorite of the four Championship DVD's. I really enjoyed the section they had about McCarty, and every DVD they seem to have moreoff ice stuff i.e. in the locker room, footage of Rafalski going back to the rink where he started playing hockey, seeing the guys on the plane after winning the cup, etc.

The Bonus features were outstanding. A lot of times I find bonus material is either hit or miss. The piece on Lebda, the Legends dinner, and Kronwall's biggest hits were every entertaining. The mic'ed up practice before one of the games in Pittsburgh was probably my favorite part of the DVD hilarious!! I was laughing the entire time. Maltby's da man!!
