If you see a guy in a wheelchair with a ponytail and an Osgood jersey w/ SC patch, I'm gonna bet it's me. I just got surprised by my fiance who just called me to tell me we were going to the game tonight courtesy of her brother and his friend who had 2 extra tickets. I wasnt expecting to go to a game this early in the season, much less a marquee game like Detroit. I dont know what section I'll be in but I'll be as loud as I can be. Hang on a second.. I'm a little confused here.. I was just about to say that Conklin wasnt even on the Red Wings roster, but sure enough he is.. however the 2 goalies listed on the depth chart are Osgood and Hasek... I saw that the other night, but didnt think anything of it, but is Hasek even playing anymore? After watching the Wings play Ottawa on Center Ice preview the other night.. they looked a lot like us actually.. got down early, looked like the game was over at 2-1 Ottawa mid-third period. A couple of well placed power plays and Detroit comes storming back to win 3-2. Was really pulling for Gerber in that game and hoping to see Detroit start the season 0-2 but alas... Franzen is a dang sniper.. shot a laser over the shoulder of gerber that was just like the horton over ward shot. Rafalski is a very offensive defensemen ala' Pitkanen... I hope its a good omen that our team somewhat mirrors theirs.. Whats the big goof that Conklin made against us? According to nhl.com his "career" vs Carolina is 1 game, a win with a 1.00 GAA. Is it the playoff game that he played 5 minutes in , allowed a goal and got tagged with the loss?
