Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 Yeah, then he got caught deep in the Sharks zone, didn't hustle back. Sammy was forced to take it behind our net from Conklin, puts it up the boards to an open wing which results in a turnover. He needs to play defense, jumping into the play isnt working for him. Exactly. Ken, larry and Micky micky always mention him "joining the rush" as though it's but it never results in s***. He just needs to pass it out of the d-zone and get speed going into the o-zone. That was a pretty good powerplay though. Glad to see it's only one penalty thus far.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 LOL @ the SJ commentators ripping the ref. I love Drew Remenda, he's very cool.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 What's sadly lacking is any mixture of the two. It's sad for you if you think 100% criticism is better than a 5%/95% split when it's warranted. Well I suppose you should do a little research of my posts. I've been generous. About 20% of my posts have been pro-Kopecky.
SoDakWing 8 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 I tell ya what... these Sharks commentators are ALOT better than Anaheim's... I actually don't mind listening to these guys... they are close to unbiased.... giving the wings LOTS of cred, even though I don't think we deserve alot of it from the way we've played so far. Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 Why? Because I'm realistic? I love my team, but AT THIS POINT we just don't defensively look like a Stanley Cup team. Big difference between pipe dream and realism..... Things could change though.. You're right. The way the team is playing RIGHT NOW, we won't win the stanley cup. But we still have 72 games to get in gear. Let's just hope we do.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 Ty Conklin has been this team's MVP so far. Ty Conklin. And to say that about this game would be a severe understatement.

San Jose is kind of a good hockey market, so I would expect their announcers to know a thing or two about hockey, unliked Anaheim's.
Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 Refs trying to help us out? They seem to be getting in the way of San Jose a lot!
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 Wow, fans bitter much? Why has "bitter" become such a buzzword these days...and one that people rarely use right at that. No one is bitter. Frustrated might apply though.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 I for one cannot believe the sharks haven't scored. I am actually shocked. Wouldn't it be nuts if the Wings win 7-0 while not improving their play? I would worship Conklin as my personal savior if this happens.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 I like that we got Conklin for less then a million dollars and he's been our best player to this point.
Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted October 31, 2008 Conklin kept it tied for us there. We started great, but then we took our foot off the gas. Let up a bit and SJ ramped their game up. The effort better pick up, or else we're not looking at winning this game.

Guest Crymson Report post Posted October 31, 2008 It is a miracle from God (Conklin) himself that this game isn't a runaway. How many times have other teams` goalies stolen games from us? Well, tonight Conklin is doing that for us. You're just far too used to it being the other way around. Relax.
