I really think the officiating has gotten worse this year. Zetterberg gets mauled again, and yet they can't call it because we're the team with the lead. My god.

It definitely seems to have more to do with the scoreboard than what's happening on the ice.

It's got to be frustrating as a player because it's so inconsistent.

Looks like the Wings sucked in the second period from the shots totals. Anyone care to fill me in?

Not our best effort yet again tonight, but a win is a win. We were fairly good for most of the first and third periods, but we were uncharacteristically bad in the second. If we can put together a full, 60 minute effort, we should have no problem racking up wins.

We had next to no scoring chances in the second, and quite the opposite can be said for Florida's effort.

I actually thought kronwall was good tonight... three defensemen were pretty bad, rafalski, lilja and lebda.

Hossa further proving that Mule + Flip + Hudler even though they have Leino and Abdelkader (sp?) waiting in the grap is not worth it, at all.

How many goals does Franzen have in the last 40 or so games?

I understand Flip and Hudler but Franzen is playing out of his mind, even with an injury.

Truth. I want Holland to lock up Franzen for ages. I'm a fan of Flip and Huds, as well, but they aren't crucial to our success.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, it appears Semin left the Caps game tonight in the second period with an undisclosed injury.

Too bad. It may not be serious, but the kid was having a hell of a year.
