11/29 GDT: Bruins 4, Red Wings 1

what is interesting is that every away broadcast I watch. Announcers say that playing redwings is a real measuring stick and a test... so teams show up when they play wings... the question is, which specific team is a measuring stick for the wings? so I wonder if wings occasionally get a bit complacent.

Again, nice timing to pick on Hudler, right as he comes up with a great offensive read and almost nails his second goal of the night.

You're an idiot. Go pick on Lilja for not dropping the gloves and contributing to goals against as opposed to goals for. Or Kronwall, who is -2 yet hasnt laid a bigh hit all game. Or Stuart, you know. Whichever.

Stuarts played good tonight, the other 2. Well we know Kronner straight cost us a goal thinking he's ******* Jumbo Joe behind our net

Dude, re-read my post. Thats not what I said in my post at all. Reading comprehension helps out.

Of course they're trapping! They've each been up 3-0 on the defending Champs. We'd probably employ the trap too in that situation too. Neither the Bruins or Habs started out playing that way.

what are you drunk? do you see what you wrote? read again..

I hate it when announcers (Ken Daniels included) try to sugar coat things. "Not that they played badly, sometimes you just don't get the breaks."

I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out a team played badly, even if it is your home team.

If Daniels keeps on saying "another rare regulation loss", they're not gonna be so rare anymore.

And hear we ago, "the Wings didn't play poorly tonight, they just didn't get the stops." We'll just turn our heads as the Wings take 35 shots and can only nab one lucky goal.

The wings dont seem to have that jump they had last season, i personally have no clue why helm and downey arent playing, or even abdelkader, they have that intensity that we so desperatly need...But im sure this is just our yearly season slump, we'll snap out of it and end up with the presidents trophy as usual.

No, it means no team plays with their best effort all 82 games in a season.

I understand that, but this game really hasn't been a lack of effort. It was HORRIBLE goaltending early and then a defense that didn't do anything to help aside from Stuart and Lids. I would actually give the top 2 lines a by because the bounces wouldn't go there way. Except Cleary really hasn't been great since he got his contract, but i suppose we have to give him time.

Also what game would you say they have shown effort in then?

I'm sorry, but when this season have we been "up 3-0 on the defending Champs." Oh wait, we ARE the defending Champs. Try actually understanding a post before you read it. And that includes all phrases in the post.

So to spell it out for the thick-headed readers, if the Wings...we're up 3-0....on the defending Champs...they'd probably trap...because of the pick-me-up....a team gets....from beating....the defending Champs.

Understand? Jesus..

That was ugly. The Wings defensive woes are only matched by the offenses' rotten luck. But they got pushed around tonight and it sure wasn't pretty. I've got nothing good to say about this one.

What I hope is they don't feel the way Ken Daniels does and try and write if off because they hit a couple of posts... They played bad and have got to do something to put together their best effort moving forward.

If there was just SOMETHING that worked, so I could be a little hopeful.. and don't say "you can't be at your best every game", because the Wings have been pretty much at their worst several games in a row, and haven't been on their best for one whole game this season.

Goaltending doesn't work, defense definitely doesn't work and I've never seen such lame offense from these players.

Time to go back to the drawing board Babcock, find out what happened to that team we saw last year.

I said it 5 games into the season, and its sad that it still applies nearly 20 games later. And thats that if we ever meet a team that can keep us to fewer than 3 goals, we're done. We can't keep the opposition to fewer than 3 goals a game, except on the rare occasion.
