that was one of the best games the wings have played this season. they dominated. the d was solid. ozzie was good and seemed to get better as the game progressed. the shots on goal was impressive too.

I gotta say, though, I'm really glad the Wings didn't crumble with the lead. Only one penalty (which was bulls*** against) and no terrible giveaways.

I did not watch the entire game, but it did seemed the Wings played well... With that being said, there is question to were the Ducks tired. We played the Oil earlier in the season and we looked good because they played like crap. So, I do hope this time was different.

And if I seem to remember correctly, an awful lot of people were using the ecuse "well the Wings played the night before when they lost to the Ducks." Anaheim also had to travel further than Detroit had to.

The Wings have never played a dominating performance. They should have tonight and they did.

The Ducks were definitely tired.

I think the Wings did a better job defending the real estate in front of their own net though. Usually it's a free ride to the crease.

The puck possesson looked better. They didn't make a lot of cute passes that led to turnovers. Though they were losing an awful lot of battles along the boards, the Ducks often turned the puck right over after winning it.

All in all a solid win, but there's still plenty of room for improvement.

That was exactly the kind of game our team needed, a low scoring affair with the Wings dominating the majority of the play. Our defense and goaltending were both above average tonight, and we scored clutch goals when we needed to.

Ehh, I wouldn't really say the dominated. 47 shots against a team that had played the night before and only 2 goals to show for it isn't what Id consider dominating. The Ducks were really, really, average tonight.

I'll take it, but I can see a lot of people running with this win saying the Wings are back to old form when I really don't think they are. A fresh good team would've given them much more trouble. The Ducks basically rolled over tonight. Getzlaf, Perry, Selanne - all invisble tonight.

Eh, they made their fair share; they seemed to struggle mightily against the forecheck but managed to break through by the end for those fluid Red Wings break outs we're used to.

Though they were losing an awful lot of battles along the boards, the Ducks often turned the puck right over after winning it.

In their defense, the Wings are inherently at a disadvantage along the boards; that's the Ducks' specialty. Bend, don't break. They weren't able to win as many puck battles as they'd like, but they didn't surrender any scoring chances as a consequence of it.

The Wings dominated. They controlled the play the entire game and had the puck in the Anaheim zone at least 70% of the game. The Ducks were tired but I don't think the Sharks or Ducks were crying for us when we played them in their barn on the road trip.

Just because they were tired doesn't mean they weren't dominated. They let up during the third period after they scored an focused on defensive play rather than scoring which kept the shots from going up.

What I'm saying is the Wings did something they were supposed to do. Dominated a team they should have dominated.

Good overall game. The intensity was way better. While I would have liked to have seen more goals scored by the Wings, I am thrilled that the defense played well. A very dominating performance.

And yes the ducks were probably tired after playing last night, but how many times do the wings play back-to-back? Answer: alot.
