Sure, tonight's game wasn't our best effort. But it ALWAYS feels good to get a win against Anaheim, ESPECIALLY when it's in their building.

s***ty first period, but the wings came out strong in the second and controlled the rest of the game. we're slipping away from the 60 minute efforts we had going for a while. i was ecstatic to see the fourth line pretty much benched the entire third! draper needs to be scratched with maltby, it's time to see some new blood on the fourth.

I don't necessarily think the effort wasn't there in the first, the Ducks are good team and they were definitely playing hard. The biggest thing to me is that they went into the room and sorted it out and got back out there and took it to them. They didn't wait til there was ten minutes left in the third to turn it on and win; to be honest the Wings should have ran away with this one, but Giguere was very, very good.

Maybe Draper and Lebda being benched tonight for most of the third will drive them to play hard against the Kings in our next game, if it doesn't give them less time or scratch them. I like Drapes but sometimes you need a time out to gather yourself.

You'd be hard pressed to find a pack of guys who are better than him on the PK. And say that because some nights he looks better than Lidstrom out there on the PK, so you know hes probably pretty good relative to the rest of the league.

That was a fun game to be at. The second half of the first period wasn't so good and the Wings looked a bit uninspired the first part of the third, but two points on the road on a long trip are always a good thing.

Getzlaf really impressed me tonight. He's getting better every year. Kronners had a very solid game as well.

Ozzy was overplaying the puck a lot tonight. It costs a couple goals and he got bailed out tonight. Giggy was too but he had three teammates covering the rest of the net most of the time.

Lilja is a badass. dropping down to his knees and takes a point blank shot to the chest. Fearless. Festerling wishes he could sack up like Lilja.

I thought Scott Niedermayer had a bad game, not that any announcer would ever say it. They're busy oozing about his smoooooooth skating. Listening to the Ducks announcers wanted to make me jab my eardrums out.

I agree with all three. Ozzie was fighting the puck a bit tonight. Niedermayer was uncharacteristically a pylon all night. But he hasn't looked quite the same since he decided to take a holiday for the first half of last season.

LoL my best friend is a Ducks fan and we watch all the Ducks games here at my place. That being said, he was all like, "you guys stole that game from us. And that last goal i dont know about that but whatever." So my reply to his comment was, do you remember the gwg in ot the first time we met this season? and then we both had a good laugh about that. I really hate the Ducks announcers, they are so one sided on everything. I watch a lot of games and i think they are #1 douchebags in the league as far as announcers go. I hope the Wings win tomorrow night in LA as i will be at that game. Go Wings Go!

Good to see the Wings got a win, only allowing 28 shots in total. Especially since Anaheim had over 14 in just the first period.. Nice comeback win! Time to walk to school in this s*** weather.
