rwfan007 18 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) I am so amped for this game! We lit up Baker last game at the 'dome, so here's hoping that we continue that one! Edited October 6, 2009 by rwfan007
rwfan007 18 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 Here we go! Game of the year, and for Porcello, game of his life! This is what they play baseball for. Growing up playing in the backyard dreaming of pitching your team into the playoffs. This is October Baseball!

timothy1997 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 Man I'm nervous for tonight. But if Porcello pitches well and gets the win he should be an absolute lock for ROY. I think Andrew Bailey has a strong chance to win the AL ROY. Seems to be the front runner, according to the media.
TheDetroitRedWings 286 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) Shocked that it's even a tie game right now. And OF COURSE we can't score on a guy on 3rd with only 1 out. What a ******* joke. We are truly the kings of not being able to score guys on 3rd. I'll be completely blown away if we actually win this game. They put a 3 spot on the board. Get off the bandwagon. You disgust me.

You disgust me. Bandwagon??? STFU. I can't doubt my own team??? I'm just going by what my own eyes have seen this past month. Minnie just scored btw, so now we have only a 2 run lead with 6 more innings to play. We've lost 7 of 9 in Minnie. It's called being a non biased objective fan. Has nothing to do with bandwagoning. I've been a fan since the early 80s smart guy.
TheDetroitRedWings 286 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 I guess you're okay with blindly kissing the Tigers asses. But after this epic choke job (7 1/2 game lead a little over 3 weeks ago) I'm being realistic about things. Don't like it? I could care less.

Yeah runners at the corners with 1 out and not cashing in sucks but Orlando Cabrera made a great catch. I just think you need to think before you post. Oh and what happened to the tigers this regular season down the stretch DOESN'T MATTER if they win this game tonight.

But I already explained I had just got done watching them blow a 10 inning game again. But I STAND BEHIND saying I will be shocked if we win today. Again, we lost 7 OF 9 IN MINNESOTA. How is that not being a real fan? It's called not being a blind homer fan. I'm objective and call it like I see it. But somehow thats not being a real fan??? Ok buddy whatever you say. IF the Tigers win, yes I will absolutely cut them some slack. But I go by my own eyes. And what my own eyes have seen is us losing 7 of 9 in their dome. So sorry If I will be a little shocked if they actually win there. Edited October 6, 2009 by TheDetroitRedWings

Let us not forget that you said you were a realistic and MSU would have no chance against the Michigan Tate Forciers, but thats in another thread. the twins went 16-4 in their final 20 games....3 of their losses were against the Tigers. Scott Baker has NEVER pitched well against the Tigers. The tigers bullpen has been solid all year so I like our chances if they can hold the lead and get it to the late innings, regardless of how we fared against the Twins this year at the dome. Umm...no Baker gave up ZERO runs actually. And Baker was given the "W". And rightfully so. Edited October 6, 2009 by TheDetroitRedWings

timothy1997 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 Banged up Washburn scares me. And Jackson has been scaring me lately... Washburn is done for the season. Porcello, Verlander, Jackson, and probably Robertson are your 4 playoff pitchers. I dont see them using Bonine to start a playoff game anytime soon.

TheDetroitRedWings 286 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 Baker has already let up 3 runs. That might be enough to win this game. Let's hope so. Cause if there is one thing I'm worried about it's us holding their lineup to under 3 runs. On paper their lineup isn't jaw-dropping, but almost all of them have been hot hitters lately. I'm praying Porcello can pitch at least 7 innings.
