I didnt insult "everyone" and if you were insulted then you were one of the Morons that spouted false facts and spin-doctored info to try to justify your pathetic arguments.

Keep digging, son. You might hit the molten core of the earth before long!

This is the 4th line that needs to be in the playoffs. They brought 2 things each shift. Energy, and skill. San Jose was caught playing the matchup game all night long, and they couldn't compete.

And that goal by Leino... WOW. Said it before, and I'll say it again. Man-Crush status achieved.

Great game tonight boys. Working as hard as they did tonight, winning the battles... THAT'S Red Wings hockey!

Well the better team tonight won. Wings clearly dominated the play, from the drop of the puck all the way to the end. I can't really put into words how frustrating this was for me to watch. I know the season series ends 2-2, but what bothers me is that even though the Sharks won at home, the wings were competitive. No one questions their ability to win in SJ. I can't say the same for the Sharks, who keep getting blown out at Joe Louis. The Sharks need to get home ice for the playoffs, 'cause they sure aren't the same team when they play in Detroit. I'm glad there's another game for the Sharks tomorrow...hopefully it will help me forget about this one.

SJ is an elite team, i think the problem lies in your goaltending, Nabokov is overrated and over payed, i actually think Boucher is better then him imo. I've always thought this way about Nabokov its not just this year. He may look good at times but its mostly due to the team he has in front of him. He is NOT a playoff goalie.

Probably best the series ended 2-2--that way neither team feels anything was settled in the regular season or gets too overconfident. See you in May!

I hope my team is still around then. As a Sharks fan, you really can't take anything for granted. :(

I honestly don't think you can take anything from regular season games, let alone how important home ice is. Teams that look bad in the regular season series against a team routinely go on to beat them in the playoffs. And home ice during the regular season is more about a team's mindset about protecting their turf than anything; you can pull that off when the other team is on a brutal road trip while you're on a home stretch, but in the playoffs when both teams are desperate and on even terms, it's different.

Long winded way of saying I wouldn't take much from these games.

Nice to see a strong game from the 4th line for a change. They really had a great game and it makes such a big difference to have them working hard, getting chances and better yet when they chip in with some points.

With all the trade deadline talk I think if we can get this kind of play more from the 3rd and 4th lines we will not need to make any changes at the deadline. Now if Osgood can at least get back into playing like a good backup I think we will be all set. I wonder if they need Hudler to do that gross clucking thing to him more often to get him motivated again?

Very strange but good game by all... Congrats to the 4th line for doing something.

I'm curious. Overall, what did you think of the calls for the game?

I agree, the fourth line was absolutely beastly tonight. Here's the problem: When Homer comes back, one of those guys is losing their spot. I love Homer to death but I'd hate to disrupt chemistry especially if it's on a line that hasn't been good for most of the year.

I'm actually kind of disappointed in San Jose. They've been my second favorite team for about 3 seasons. I thought they were a genuinely tough team to beat who played physical, but did not resort to cheap shots. I thought they were classier than what I saw tonight.

I dunno. I didn't see anything too egregious. Just some frustration, which is understandable. Certainly nothing in the realm of Igoonla.

4th -It's The New 3rd!

They need to keep Kopecky off the ice and keep Leino or Helm in... not sure how they can keep either of those 2 off the ice come play off time? Shows to me how useless and unnecessary Kopecky is.

Not only that, but how bad he makes Draper and Maltby

I thought the officiating was average. I find it a bit ridiculous that the boarding of Big Joe earns the same 2 minutes that the little "hook" Plihal committed...but that's a problem with the rules and not the officials really. The "hooking" calls have been consistent all year long. Stick in the midsection of the opponent = hooking, whether the individual actually was hooked or not.

Yeah the play should have been whistled dead and the 3rd Detroit goal shouldn't have happened, but what are you gonna do about that? It happens, calls are missed, and as many of you pointed out, it happened before to Detroit, though that really doesn't change the fact that this call was blown as well. Who's to say that if the play IS blown dead, that Detroit doesn't just go down and score a shorty anyway?

The goal taken away really did shock me. Especially since originally the ref was standing right behind the net, completely unobstructed with a perfect view, and seemed to be 100% sure that it was in. He had the best view. From the 2 replays I saw, it seemed like the puck did NOT go all the way in, but again, the call on the ice was goal, and I don't think you can really call those replays conclusive. The view was obstructed. I don't think the call should have been overturned, but if I had to guess, I don't think the puck went all the way in.

*disclaimer - I was asked my opinion of the calls. I am not making excuses for the Sharks loss/Wings win.

I didn't see SJ goon it up at all. I saw Boyle let his frustration get the best of him and take a stupid slashing penalty at the end. The hit on Hossa wasn't intentional, he wasn't head hunting. I don't see where they should have lost their classy status in your eyes. No Tootoo action here. Man why did I even mention that guy's name...I hate that guy.

Haha, I'm sorry you have to use a disclaimer. Some people don't deal well with outside opinions.
