Hey guys, has anyone said that the Wings are getting screwed as a witty retort to the guy who said he gave up sex to watch the game? I hope not, because that would be really original.

s*** people, lay off the ham-handed retorts. Once was funny, 10 times is not.

That period could not have ended fast enough, probably the worst 10 minutes of hockey I have ever seen the Red Wings play and almost everyone is to blame.

It's true. Only five Red Wings have a non-negative plus/minus:

->Lidstrom

->Rafalski

->Filppula

->Kopecky

->Franzen

s*** rather have Chelios in tonight, Meech has look horrid (Dont bring up that breakaway he stopped, it was his fault in the first place anyway).

Not that you are saying this, but it always seems to the D's fault when it's Conklin and Ozzie's fault when it's Ozzie.

It's the same D. It's been horrible all season.

Osgood could and should have been better. But this Defense SUCKS.

What YOU said. ENOUGH ALREADY!!

At first I was pretty pissed about that period but now I'm just kinda finding it pretty funny. We didn't do a single f***in thing right that whole period...it was pretty comical. But hey, if anyone can come down from 5 down it would be us !!

This message is dedicated to those who say there is no need to give 100% in the regular season. The effects of bad defense lead to bad goaltending...which leads to panic in our transition game ...which leads to a lack of scoring. In turn, you lose confidence in some parts of your game. I can understand losing a game here and there, but a loss like this only hurts your confidence.

Did I sleep through March? Is it already April Fools' Day?

You really REALLY ought to write comedy. I'm serious. There are few things going on tonight that make me even want to smirk, let alone smile. Thenk yew again.

Some of us posted at the same time. We're entitled to a bit of joy tonight since we're not scoring. Oops, another ham-handed sex retort.

The ice times of the D pairings are explained by the team playing last night. Lids played almost 27 minutes last night.

I know it's tough to take a step back when the team is getting pummel led like this, but keeping key players healthy by not playing them too much is more important.

All the other D pairings have to do is not suck and the problem goes away. But, alas....

Holy crap! Lids played 27mins last night? :blink: You're right- I just checked and he played a full 4 mins more than any other player. To be honest it felt like he was never on the ice last night when I was watching the game :P

f*** it. Lidstrom should play 60 mins a night! ;)

Does anyone else find it how interesting how much more active this thread is when the Wings are getting their ass kicked?

XD

That's how it always is, I pointed this out earlier in the year. When Detroit loses, double the amount of posts.
