Cold Stone's cake batter ice cream is my favorite, though if you want to count it I'm also partial to banana split flavored dip n' dots.

Wowowow -- hold up a second. Coldstone has "cake batter" ice cream? I am going now to get some if this is true (and if the coldstone by me is open.) Is it amazingly good or just good, good?

Blah blah blah... We just lost the Stanley Cup. The season is over. See you next Autumn. Hopefully we won't make the playoffs for five seasons so maybe certain players can get their heads out of their asses.

Who am I?

Mindfly, too easy :P

If I was a drinking man, I wouldn't be typing right now :P

In the end, looks like no ground loss to the Sharks, but none gained, sadly :(

I want to see Kopecky score, just to break the ******* shutout.

So everyone, what's your favorite flavor of ice cream? I'm partial to Dulce de Leche.

Peanut Butter Cup. Or Mint Chocolate Chip.

A few thoughts on my end regarding tonight's games:

-It's games like these when the fairweather fans are revealed. They become very visible, as they can't tolerate the team playing one bad game. They need success all the time.

-The Wings have played a lot of games in the last couple of weeks. They're obviously very tired; they're just not moving very quickly, and Nashville is beating them to a lot of pucks as a result. Presumably the fatigue is bringing on a lot of of the unforced errors, as well.

-Sometimes lots of bad bounces happen in the same game.

-Then again, it's REALLY games like these when the fairweather fans are revealed, because they just can't handle all of this.

Carry on.

This could be the worst game of the year for some reason. Not taking anything away from Nashville who are playing a mean game while we collectively s*** our pants... this game is embarassing. Speaking of embarassing whats with Lilja? That was the greatest example of Bruce Lee's technique called "The Art of Fighting without Fighting"... That was an embarassment. He's actually quite good at blocking uppercuts with his chin though. Let's hope it ends soon... maybe the entire team should have a few days off to clear their heads.

It was quite nice seeing Lilja taking him to the ice with his face. I was laughing my butt off at that, but then the fight happened. Lilja needs to go into hiding after that showing.

I agree. Anyone who calls him anything for what he just said, hates him. Because they do play european hockey.

He's still comparing apples to oranges, particularly in a place that's been hit so hard with the economic situation. Hockey already has to compete with all three other major north american sports in Detroit, and if I'm getting tight on cash and really eager to go watch a sports event, I'm probably looking to go to a baseball or football game. Red Wings tickets are pretty damn cheap, especially compared to here in Vancouver, but you can still get baseball tickets for much cheaper.

There's nothing wrong with European-style hockey. There's nothing wrong with North American-style hockey. We play more of a finesse game than a physical game. As long as we're successful (and this game aside, we are successful), stop jerking off to the thought that we need to abandon what we do mid-season just to appease people who can't pronounce the names of the guys on our team.

Don Cherry is in many respects, a smart guy. In this respect, he's a complete dooshnozzle.

You idiots agree with cherry he just said to abandon european style of hockey.

A tough guy wouldnt have done s*** tonight our defence was s*** not because guys arent fighting wake up.

You're an idiot for clearly not understanding his whole argument. He wasn't making a case for winning tonight's game...

Right on. I just hope that you understand the difference between "fair weather fans" and those fans who are sickened when their team gives up 5 goals in the first 10 minutes to the 28th ranked offense in the league.

But I am sure you already have taken that into account seeing as though you are the "know all, be all" in regards to everything and eneryone on this board and about the Red Wings in general.

Though it does beg the question, if people in Detroit genuinely don't care about hockey/the Wings why did supposedly over a million of them show up for the Cup parade?
