Sorry guys, I'm not generally so negative, and I didn't say anything negative about Ozzie until a few weeks ago, but he's really been wearing on me this year.

I do not think Osgood is playing bad but I do not get people who say he plays enough good right now. He allowed 4 goals and no excuse for that; goalie should be responsible for every goal. Remember first 2 goals by the deflection. When there is a deflection, you expect goalie to make a save even though it is tough. However, when Osgood is in the net, how many times can you say you expect him to make a save? Not many times. How about Conklin? Not many times but he sometiems do.

I stopped reading after the bolded part. If you saw those goals, you'd know the best Ozzie could hope for is the puck to hit him.

And ******* hell, we suck. I don't even know why I'm bothering to watch this (lack of) effort.

I'm not going to get into the personal respects of the goaltending - we all know how Osgood has played this year. At the level hes played, its at least been consistent.

The reason the issue of Osgood/Goaltending comes up when the TEAM is playing poorly - and its really quite simple - is that when your TEAM is playing poorly, particularly your defense, then thats when your goalie needs to be his best. Osgood should elevate his game to compensate for the defense - thats how TEAMS work and win. No one plays well every night. On most nights, someone has to carry someone else.

Ultimately, the biggest problem this team has is that our defense is our last line of defense. Our goaltending isn't. So when the wheels fall off the defense, the wheels fall off the team.
