Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 If I could kill the ad execs responsible for that monstrosity, I would do it. You can't escape it! My pals and I got together to watch the Flames game on Thursday, we had a dozen people in the room shouting and laughing during a commercial break and as soon as that goddamn fish jingle started up... all eyes were on the TV and the room fell into silence. It's really quite a masterpiece, even a triumph, in this way.
Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 Don't misunderstand me, I would be greatly pleased if the Wings stood up for themselves more consistently, but if they aren't going to as much as the majority of the teams in the NHL, I'd rather them play the game than resort to gooning it up. That's just a sad excuse. Are cheapshots really going to make you feel better? That being said, why are you surprised? Most Europeans don't fight. It's not focused on as much as it is here in NA. There's nothing wrong with retribution....done the right way. Ala a bone-crushing check to a Blues player with his head down in the open ice

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 *Future visual* So I'm standing in line with my box score from the game, in walks none other than Dats, Zett, and Hossa with their own copies of the box score... In disguises as this is their third attempt in a different costume to get more free Arbys.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 That fish needs to be voted Player of the game! I can't believe the phenomenon that is that commercial. It's one of those ads that McDonald's could build off of for years to come.

edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 (edited) Bishop in net for Mason. And I think that McDonald's commercial is a stroke of marketing genius, considering how much it's gotten talked about. I thought it was just me and my wife that found it hilarious (I even made the song the shutout shutdown sound on my wife's laptop, she fell down laughing when she discovered it), but apparently it's gone viral. Flip out for the rest of the game, back spasms. Edited March 14, 2009 by edicius
